Over the last two years, the 5K-Aden has raised over $200,000 for JTF! One of the beneficiaries of last year’s fundraiser was Carson Galloway, who lost his right leg in a life-changing accident last June. Kaden visited Carson in the hospital, sparking a deep friendship, and was able to connect Carson and his family to JTF. With the support of local prosthetist Tripp Rice, JTF was able to help Carson receive two new prosthetic legs, one for running and another for snowboarding! We are so excited to have Carson and his family join our efforts this year as we fundraiser to make this year’s 5K-Aden the most successful yet. Don’t miss Carson and Kaden on WIS TV at 7:30 PM EST TONIGHT!
Thank you so much to Sumter Utilities Inc. for their sponsorship for the 2024 5K-Aden! We loved celebrating with them at last year's event and are so grateful to have their support again this year. Meet 9-year-old Fi, one of our newest JTF Kids. Prior to becoming part of JTF earlier this year, he never had access to properly fitting prostheses or specialized activity limbs. Swipe to see a picture of a Fi earlier this spring, shortly after learning he had been approved to be a JTF Kid. He would oftentimes only wear his prostheses if he was going outside the house because they were so cumbersome to put on and painful.
Now, after visiting one of JTF’s amazing partner prosthetists, Fi has two new sets of legs - one for everyday use and running blades for sports and activities. And not only can he walk seamlessly, but he can fly on his blades!
This holiday season, consider being part of creating more stories like Fi’s. Every child deserves a childhood filled with joyful experiences, and you have the power to give this gift of joy.
Giving Tuesday is ONE WEEK away and we hope you will help us make this giving season the best yet for JTF! You can click the link below to make your gift today.
