“Galaxy #2”
I’m honored to be selected for the Pentwater Sculpture Walk this year. The piece will be by the Marina, so I have an opportunity to personalize the piece with complimentary colors. The work is in process and the final piece will be installed in May.
Check out the other sculptures here.

I was supposed to finish this today.
So close! I ran out of gas. And I don’t mean personal energy, which does happen at my age. I mean mig welding gas.
Worked up a sweat today.
Making a piece twice has its benefits. I can improve on the process and fine tune the design. “Crescent Moon #2”. Almost finished…..
Excited to announce this sculpture debuts at the Sculpture Art Walk in Clare, MI this May.
It’s my 3rd year being selected by the art council. I am so honored to be part of their community art program.

First show of the year is just 2 months away. Getting ready!
Kelly O'Neill of Fusion of Iron and Earth will be at Booth 57 at ART on the GRAND in Downtown Farmington on June 1 & 2.
Kelly has been a professional artist since 2018 with a focus on metal sculpture. With the recent retirement from her marketing career, Kelly has had time to exhale and allow more introspection and thoughtfulness in her artistic creations with attention to construction and care in production. O'Neill works with metal, clay and glass - her metal work sculptures are from recycled steel and are finished with powder coating, paint or natural patina. Her ceramics use both wheel thrown and hand-built techniques, fired with custom glazes. Her art is the Fusion of Iron and Earth. Each piece is unique and symbiotically created. The sculpture featured here is titled "Origami Orange."

Another successful collaboration.
I take a pottery class at Schoolcraft College with Emily. She created a set of beautifully organic coffee mugs.
She now has a beautiful “mug tree” to display her creations.
Beautiful and functional.
I find joy in collaborating with other artists like Annie Anglim. This sculpture is inspired by a poem as part of an art call from the Fenton Arts Council. Annie had a vision and it turned out spectacular! She’s going to patina the metal and add a piece of glass in the fish that the two birds are fighting over.
The Scarab Club Gilda Snowden Memorial Exhibition. With Marta Carvajal and Ellen Stone.
“SPRING BUDS” Combining ceramic pieces with metal to create a unique wall sculpture that can be displayed in doors or out doors.
Commission work can be challenging. You need to create realistic sketches. Each time I complete a commission, my confidence grows.
