Today is National Lemon Day, National Vanilla Ice Cream Day, AND Gorgeous Grandma Day. We couldn’t decide which we should celebrate, so how about all 3!! Bring your gorgeous grandma to see us and get some delicious Homestead Creamery, Inc vanilla ice cream and a lemon bar. 😁🍋🍦🍨

A new quiche flavor is on the menu. We are calling this one The Goat. It is another vegetarian option with goat cheese, Swiss cheese, fresh tomatoes, spinach and orange peppers. So yummy! Great for any time of the day. Come give it or any of our other quiche flavors a try.

Our favorite baker has a book written about her! Mrs Ratha Shabeldeen has been baking for Blackbird Bakery since we opened in 2008. She is now retired but gave us many years of delicious pies and baklava. And behind the scenes, many a holiday or just because meal for our staff. 😋 We have been blessed to have her as part of our Blackbird family.
The author, J.C. Littleton, will have some advanced copies of Ratha’s Journey and will be signing those copies this Saturday here at Blackbird Bakery. She will be here 10 am to 12 pm.

Happy Friday! It’s National Graham Cracker Day. We use a lot of graham crackers around here. They form the base of a few of our favorite desserts. Pictured: key lime pie, cheesecakes. Not pictured: lemon raspberry pie, s’mores bars.

It’s Christmas in July for our friends at The Bridge Home No Kill Animal Rescue. Check out our pet Angel tree. Donations of food and supplies can be placed under our tree throughout the month of July. ❤️🐕🐈🐾

Some of you have been waiting patiently for this day. 😁 July cake of the month is blackberry!!!! It will be available daily by the slice, jumbo cupcakes, and in 3 sizes of whole cake, while supplies last, throughout the month of July.

Today’s special doughnut is chocolate cookies & cream. The filling is chocolate cream, dipped in chocolate fudge icing, then topped off with vanilla drizzle and a sprinkle of crushed Oreo cookies. 😋

Summer and sweet, tangy citrus go so well together. So we have crafted a lemon pie that will make you think of vacations in tropical destinations. Very similar to our key lime pie, but the tartness is all about the lemon, with a buttery and crunchy graham cracker crust and topped with our house made whipped cream. Beat the heat with a cold drink and a mini lemon pie. We are open until 10 pm.

Happy first (official) day of summer! You know we love some nostalgia around here, so today’s featured pie might bring back memories. Strawberry rhubarb is tangy and sweet, and we make ours from scratch. Including the hand made crust and crumb topping. If you have never tried this flavor of pie, now is the time. If your grandmother made this pie every summer, please come try ours. 😊 We are here until 10 pm.
