***Storytime and Library friends!
There has been a change to our calendar schedule that affects our Storytime Program! We will be CLOSED Monday Dec 25, Tuesday Dec 26, Monday January 1, and Tuesday January 2 so we will not have Storytime at BPL Main for the next two weeks! We will see you again beginning Monday January 8!
**We will have Storytime both weeks on Wednesday at Avoca at 11:30!

❄️ We had snow much fun at our Santa’s Workshop family event! We had 120 participants with 32 families!! I caught a few pics of our friends and even library staff with Brittanee, our Elf on the Shelf! ❤️ We would love to see your pics too! Share them in the comments! ❤️ Merry Christmas to all! 🎄

🌲 🐭 Have you noticed the beautiful Mouse Christmas Tree by Citrus?
Mrs. Jackie Summers and her husband donated their amazing mouse decoration collection to the BPL Children’s Library for use on our tree! Jackie said she collected the ornaments for years and eventually even found a mouse angel for the top! Mr. And Mrs. Summers stopped by to decorate the tree for us in early December and enlisted some helpers that were visiting the library that evening! ❤️ Thank you for sharing your collection with us and we know our library families will enjoy it for many years to come! ❤️ We have already received so many compliments on it!

⭐️ ….And the People’s Choice Award goes to…..The ALICE’S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND inspired tree created by Jazmin Atkins, Mercedez Atkins, and Abby Coyne! Congratulations!! ⭐️

It was a very close race with 102 total votes placed last night at our Santa’s Workshop! We appreciate all of the participants for taking the time to create such beautiful trees! TJ Dewitt from our BPL Jones Creativity Center is creating a cool trophy for the winner with the 3D printer and individual personalized tree ornaments made with the Glow Forge for all of the participants!

⭐️ Thank you to everyone who participated in our 16th Annual Winter Tree Parade! We had 14 wonderful entries! Trees will be one display through the first week of January so make sure to stop by and enjoy them! Each tree has so many special details in the ornaments they chose or made! ⭐️

Don’t forget to stop by to meet Brittanee, our Elf on the Shelf! 5:30-7:00pm tonight! 12-19-23

Need an extra weekend to work on your tree? No problem! Mrs Michelle has to finish hers too! So excited to have so many great trees turned in already! We can’t wait to see yours!

Time to start decorating your tree for our 16th Annual Winter Tree Parade! Thanksgiving Break is a great time for the family to put together a tree based on their favorite Children's Book! Trees will be on display in the BPL Children's Library throughout December! Vote for your favorite tree at our SANTA'S WORKSHOP on Tuesday December 19 from 5:30-7:00pm! You can also enjoy cookies and milk and get to have a pic with our ELF ON THE SHELF!

Happy Hanukkah! Our Children's Library has a nice selection of Hanukkah books on display for easy check out.

Monday night, the Bristol Public Library had the pleasure of hosting the The Bristol Ballet Company’s dancers in our Piedmont Ave windows for Downtown Bristol’s Open House event! The dancers were in costume to promote their upcoming performances of THE NUTCRACKER!
It was a lovely evening filled with music, pirouettes, and giggles! 🩰 🐭 🎁 🍬

Don’t forget to stop by the library windows on Piedmont Ave to see the Bristol Ballet dancers in costume tonight! 🐭 🩰 🎁 🍭 🍬

Both branches will be closing early at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, November 22 and will remain closed until 9:00 AM on Saturday, November 25. We want to wish all of our patrons a very happy Thanksgiving holiday! We are thankful for each and every one of you all year around!

When was your last visit to the library?

What a treat we had at Storytime Tuesday! We enjoyed listening to John Doriot’s stories that he wrote about his dog OREO! Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Doriot and Oreo for dropping by to make new friends and share their wonderful books!

This week is going to be Two for Tuesday! John Doriot will be bringing his dog Oreo by for Storytime at 10:00 AM on Tuesday and returning at 6:00 PM for a brief discussion, Q&A, and book signing. You don't want to miss it!

Reminder that the library will be CLOSED Friday November 10 and Saturday November 11! We will be open regular hours beginning Sunday November 12 from 2-5:00pm!
