ECOS is an environmentally focused club that enjoys experiencing the outdoors and what it has to offer.
We attended Club Craze yesterday and it was a success-- over 40 students signed up to join the club!
We are working to plan our first club meeting for the semester and will be in contact soon!
This semester, the Environmental Science Club organized a donation drive for Wild Wings Birds of Prey Center. Today, we had the pleasure of delivering the items, valued at around $400, to the center. We then toured the facility and hiked Mendon Ponds Park to feed the birds.

Heinz Award-winning scientist Sherri Mason will speak about Earth Day, the Great Lakes, and the dangers of plastic pollution in this critical natural environment tonight in the McCue Auditorium, 7:00 pm–8:30 pm.
After the lecture, the student-faculty exhibit "Forever Plastics" will be unveiled in Drake Library, 8:30-9:30.
The College at Brockport Department of Environmental Science and Ecology
You are invited to a special presentation by Dr. Sherri Mason titled "The Perils of Plastic" in McCue Auditorium at 7pm on April 22nd. Dr. Mason will be discussing her research on plastic pollution in the Great Lakes and solutions that her work has informed.
After her talk, we will head to the Drake Memorial Library for the opening of "Forever Plastics: Saving the Great Lakes (and ourselves) from America's Love Affair with Plastics", an exhibit created by faculty and students from the Environmental Science & Ecology, History, and Art departments at SUNY Brockport. The exhibit will feature a sculpture made from plastics found around the Lake Ontario watershed, surrounded by posters on the history and environmental impacts of plastic pollution on our Great Lakes. While similar exhibits have been done on ocean plastic, this is the first of its kind on freshwater plastic pollution!
We will be giving out reusable bags and metal straws to the first 50 guests.
We look forward to seeing you on April 22nd!
