Every so often I like to just take a night and dedicate it questions, discussion on Biblical topics and prayer.

Uniquely only twice in the Word of God do we see Jesus identifying individuals who have great faith. What's amazing is both times, it is people who are using their faith for someone else who weren't even there.

The two occurrences are the Roman Centurion asking for prayer for his servant who was at that point of death and then the Syrophenician woman asking on behalf of her daughter who was demon possessed. In both instances, the person needing prayer was a distance away from Jesus, and both individuals were miraculously delivered and healed.

Tonight, we'll continue on the theme of "It Is What It Is." The basis of this teaching is that when a mishap of any type or seriousness happens in life, you are faced with a choice in how you react or respond. The reality is that whatever has happened has happened, and you cannot undo it. There's nothing you can do to change it's happening. It is what it is.

But what we do with the next moment will significantly affect the future. An angry retort could start a volatile reaction, whereas a peaceful, loving response could change the dynamics of the outcome.

We'll look at another aspect of this, which is God's Divine intervention. The Word says, "We make our plans, but He directs our steps." I'll share a testimony of how, by missing a plane departure due to a schedule change, I'd be getting home four hours later than expected.

My natural reaction would have been anger and frustration, but by refusing the negative thoughts and trusting God to order my steps, it turned out to be an incredible Divine appointment.

This is where once we realize that the Accuser has something against us, such as a curse where we say to a child, "You'll never amount to anything," we repent and silence him. As I've taught in preceding sessions, peace is a vital state of being to live above the circumstances of life. Peace comes from knowing God, His ways, His Word, and His presence. As it says in Philippians 4:8, And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 (NASB)

The operative word of this verse in this lesson is "guard." The Greek definition is to keep, guard as in military protection to keep in the natural or spiritual, from what? The exercising of our minds with thoughts of fear, doubt, or unbelief, "lies of the devil."

Verse eight tells us to dwell, think, or meditate on these things, which are basically the truths of God's Word.

Rather than teaching meditation or how to do it, we're going to pull one of my most classic meditations from my Fullness of Life meditation series, "Oasis of Peace and Victory," and teach by demonstration.

The key here is getting God's Word into your heart by renewing the mind, which is done through repetition. This recording, along with the other recordings in this series, is designed to play repetitively, getting God's Word deep into your heart.

Sorry, I missed last week's Zoom call. Unfortunately, I was in the hospital having emergency heart surgery. As much as I have believed in my own new heart miracle, as I've seen so many others receive through our ministry, my miraculous healing came through the helpful hands of doctors.
