Christine Sabol passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side on April 23, 2024. Chris and Tom met 30 years ago at the Floodwater Café through mutual friends and by the Grace of God. It has been a true romance of love throughout the course of time past.
Chris loved the beach, especially Cape Hatteras, North Carolina where she would vacation on a yearly basis with family. She was the life of the party, always coming up with great and fun ideas. She had moxie!
Chris was also a woman of many talents. She became a great cook over time. Tom can attest to that. She was also a great baker of an assortment of cookies, especially at Christmas time. She loved crocheting, gardening, and refinishing furniture. She also loved going on walks and getting her steps in, especially to the Zoo and to Lowe Park. She liked to go on bicycle rides through the Cuyahoga Valley, down to Peninsula, and then take the train back to Rockside.
Chris just loved her family and was the voice of reason when things got tough. She had many great friends over time from her childhood in Fairview, OH on Ellen Drive, to her college days at Marietta, to Met Path-Quest, and to Ohio Savings Bank.
Chris will be missed by many, especially by her husband, Tom, Her parents, Charlene and Donald Stephens, her brothers, Scott (Jill) and Brian (Donna), her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, her mother-in-law Mary Sabol, her sister in laws Kathy Sipos, Rosemary Horvath, Jackie, Tracy, and Renee Sabol, her brother in laws Andy, Tim, and Rich Sabol, and her four legged friend Winston Charles Sabol. Chris was very loving and caring of others and was loved by all. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
