I see that we’re having a little friendly competition with our front window displays 🤔

We just transitioned Brooklyn Barn to all things spooky, but we’re loving the way Farm 42 has their window decorated!

Did you know that they have outdoor seating? This is the BEST weather to grab a bite to eat and soak up the sun ☀️ We’re hearing great feedback about their fresh, never frozen burgers and their old fashioned customer service. Pro tip: if you like things on the spicier side, try your eggs or sandwich with pepper jack cheese! It certainly adds a BITE to each bite 😆

Farm 42 is open 7-2 Thursday through Sunday, and it’s RIGHT next door to Brooklyn Barn 🙌🏽

This absolutely stunning girl is Millie, and she’s our Brooklyn Barn dog of the day 🌟🌟🌟

The best thing about Millie is that she is very snuggly and just wants to be next to her people. In fact, if you look up the word “Velcro” we’ve heard that Millie’s name appears in the description 😉 We’re told that sleeping is Millie’s favorite way to pass the time, but she does also enjoy a good romp in the yard while watching birds. Marvelous Millie is said to like all treats and isn’t picky where food is concerned. Millie is said to be a good car-rider, and if you can’t tell, she’s practically a professional supermodel 🥰

Millie was incredibly calm while in the store, and she posed for photos like it was her job 🙌🏽 She took treats gently, and she was such a bright spot in our day! We hope her awesome parents bring her back to Brooklyn Barn again very soon!

This is a dangerous level of cuteness, so please brace yourself because Pippa “Pip” is our Brooklyn Barn dog of the day 🌟🌟🌟

Not only is this darling girl incredibly photogenic, but she’s super sweet and friendly too! She immediately allowed me to pick her up for snuggles and kisses and as a giant dog mom, that is SUCH a treat 🙌🏽🥰🙌🏽 She had recently been to her first ever “real” haircut appointment and she was so soft and smelled so good—I didn’t want to give her back!

Miss Pip found herself adopted by the most amazing family after she and her siblings landed with them as fosters. It’s said that the best thing about her is “sweet and loving spirit”, especially considering her rough “before rescue” story.

We’re told that her mom is her favorite person, and we were lucky enough to see Pip prance across the floor and play bow to her mom in sheer delight 🥹 We learned that she’s also very fond of her dad and the grandkids. Pip is described as being “pretty agreeable” in general ♥️

Precious Pip’s favorite activity is being carried around. She loves treats of all kinds, and she enjoys making the world a cuter place in general. We are still smiling from her visit and we hope her awesome people bring her back to Brooklyn Barn soon!

This absolutely striking boy is Alakai, and we’re delighted to feature him as our Brooklyn Barn dog of the day 🌟🌟🌟

Alakai is brother to previous BBDOTD Diesel, and we’re so happy that D brought his brother in for his own moment to shine 🙌🏽

It’s said that the best thing about Alakai is that he is very playful, sweet, and gentle. He likes all people and is a fan of his 2 dog siblings, and 3 kitty siblings. We’re told that he is a little “obsessed” with the kitties and is always inviting them to play and giving them kisses 🥰

Amazing Alakai enjoys running around in the yard, chasing the 4-wheeler, playing with his phone toy, and lounging on his back with his teeth exposed impersonating a shark 😂 One funny quirk is that he puts himself into his kennel, but then barks when he’s in there!

This handsome boy was a delight while visiting the shop and we hope his sweet family bring him back to see us again soon!

I don’t know if any of us are ready for this level of cuteness so early in the week, but we’re just going to go with it.

This is Laci, and she is our Brooklyn Barn dog of the day 🌟🌟🌟

The best thing about Laci is said to be that she is a good snuggler. She was rescued by her sweet family about 5 months ago, and she has quickly settled in to the good life where she is said to enjoy riding in the car, chewing on toys, and snacking on beef liver from Costco.

Lovely Laci loves all people equally, and she is awesome with kids. She likes other dogs, but she does ask to come inside if neighborhood dogs are barking. She was sweet, and friendly, and polite with other visitors while at the shop. She took treats ever so politely and even traded kisses for them 🙌🏽

We’re told that this gorgeous girl loves her routine, and we’re hoping visits to Brooklyn Barn get added to her schedule 😉 Her appearance was such a bright spot in our day!

A well-placed ghostie tucked into fall decor is a perfect and easy way to decorate for Halloween!

The one I have haunting my kitchen sold out immediately, but we just received a new shipment. Come grab one before they disappear 😏

The larger enamel ghost is brand new to the shop, and is SO CUTE.

This beautiful girl is Sadie Mae, and she’s our Brooklyn Barn dog of the day 🌟🌟🌟

Sadie wasn’t so sure about this place when she first walked through the door, but she warmed up so beautifully, and by the end of her visit she was standing in the spot experienced Brooklyn Barn pups immediately go to to get their treats!

We’re told the best thing about Sadie is that she’s very chill and easygoing. This sweet girl has 7 human sisters, so she’s used to activity happening around her. Sadie loves all of her girls, and couldn’t possibly pick a favorite🥰 It’s said that Sadie is even good with her two kitty siblings!

Sadie’s favorite activity is lounging on the couch, in the sun, atop a mountain of stuffed animals 😂 She also enjoys chewing on greenies, riding in the car, and going lots of places with her family.

We loved Sadie’s beautiful coloring, her soft brown eyes, and her sweet demeanor. It was so fun watching her determine that Brooklyn Barn is a fun place to visit! We hope she stops by with her awesome family again soon! ♥️♥️♥️

We added some new additions to our spooky section today! These crow and skull pillow covers are so cool, and they’re the perfect way to add a little “Brooklyn Boo” to your decor 😂 Throw one of these over an 18” or 20” pillow, and then you don’t have to store a whole pillow when it’s time to swap out seasons 🐦‍⬛ 💀

Crow and bat stuffies are also new. Who couldn’t use a little Halloween friend?!

Meet Jack, he’s our Brooklyn Barn dog of the day 🌟🌟🌟

Gentle Jack is a loving boy who will be working towards becoming a therapy dog! His favorite thing to do is “sit and watch the world go by”. He loves to greet his neighbors and is affectionately known as a neighborhood ambassador 🥰

Jack is named after a family member, and after Jackie Robinson. He comes from a very baseball loving family ⚾️ His favorite toy is a squeaky rubber banana that he likes to steal from his cousin, Henry. It’s said that his mom is supposed to be his favorite human, but this big-hearted guy loves everyone and has a special spot in his heart for his grandkids ♥️ We learned that he enjoys treats of every kind, and he’s extremely gentle when taking them. He was also very interested in the photo-taking process and insisted on an extreme closeup!

We loved having Jack and his people in the shop, and we hope they make Brooklyn Barn a regular destination ♥️

I asked, and I have been delighted with the response!

Just look at this face and try not to smile—we dare you.

This is Henry, and we are delighted to name him our Brooklyn Barn dog of the day 🌟🌟🌟

It’s said that the best thing about handsome Henry is that he’s “such a good buddy”. The list of Henry’s “likes” include, but are not limited to, watching his mom’s every move, stealing butter, playing with the hose, and going on car rides. It’s said that mom is technically his favorite person with his human brother coming in a close second, but it’s very obvious that this guy LOVES people ♥️ Happy Henry’s exuberance was contagious, and he was very wiggly and waggy while in the shop, but he also took a moment to do a big lean on my legs.

We loved hearing about how mom once took him to the store, and returned to the car to find that the door was wide open, but Henry was just sittin’ in there waiting for her to return 😂

Henry visited with another family member who we will be featuring as well—but we couldn’t wait to show off the double dose of cuteness we enjoyed!

We hope this darling boy brings his awesome family to visit us again soon!
