St. Edmund Prep's Baseball Elite Camp welcomed former MLB player Frank Rodriguez to speak to our campers today! Frank was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in 1995 and played shortstop for the Minnesota Twins, Seattle Mariners, and Cincinnati Reds during his career (1995-2001) Today he serves as the Associate Head Coach for Mercy University Men's Baseball.

The Female Athlete of the Year Award is presented to the outstanding female athlete in the Class of 2024. This young woman has been a 2-sport athlete excelling in soccer and swimming. She has been a leader and role model for her fellow teammates as a CHSAA Captain’s Club member.

Kiersten Sorrentino - 2024 Female Athlete of the Year Recipient

The Male-Athlete of the Year Award is presented to the outstanding male athlete in the Class of 2024. This young man has been a multi-sport athlete excelling in soccer, basketball, and volleyball. He has been a leader and role model for his fellow teammates.

Connor McElhinney - 2024 Male Athlete of the Year Recipient

The Male-Athlete of the Year Award is presented to the outstanding male athlete in the Class of 2024. This young man has been an outstanding member of the basketball program. He is a leader and role model for his fellow teammates as an athletic intern and CHSAA Captain’s Club.

The Donny Duval Award is presented to the male in the senior class that embodies the qualities of spirit, leadership, and SEP Pride that come out in everything that he does. This year's recipient is a two-sport athlete as a member of the baseball and soccer teams. He is a leader and role model for his fellow students and teammates.

The Student-Athlete Impact Award is presented to a student-athlete in the senior class that impacts the athletic department as a multi-sport athlete as a member of the basketball and softball teams and as an athletic intern. Her heart, talent, tenacity, and toughness show in everything that she does on a daily basis as a leader and role model for her fellow classmates.

The Lou Esposito Award is presented annually to the Baseball/Softball player that plays the game with pride and respect, the way that Lou taught it. This year's recipient has been an exemplary member of the baseball program for 4 years.

Sending our best wishes to fellow CHSAA swimmer Sean Green, Class of 2025 at Archbishop Molloy the best of luck at the USA Olympic Trials! Sean began his quest for for a spot on the US Olympic team this past weekend in Indianapolis.
The events he will be swimming are:
June 15 - 400 meters Freestyle
June 16 - 400 meters Individual Medley
June 17 - 800 meters Freestyle
June 19 - 200 meters backstroke
June 22 - 1500 meters freestyle.
