Come help us celebrate!
Hope House is
turning 10!
In 2003, Hope House opened its doors to serve two teen moms and their little ones in the brand new Residential Program. The goal was to help these young, disadvantaged moms become healthy parents who are self-sufficient and aware of their significance in God's eyes.
A decade later the goal remains unchanged, and we are serving over 110 teen moms and 160 children annually in our Residential, Mentoring, GED, Parenting and Healthy Relationships Programs! We also have a Career Partnership Program now to connect our teen moms to employers in the community, and we are piloting a Learning Lab to help our GED graduates complete further education and reach self-sufficiency.
We have planned a party that you and your entire family won't want to miss! Located outdoors under the pavilion, the celebration will feature live music, a free bouncy castle, complimentary face painting for the kids... and a fire truck from the City of Arvada!
You can buy dinner at Tailgater Toby's BBQ food truck and cupcakes from The Dessert Stand, and 20% of the proceeds will go back to Hope House!
Please come meet many of our teen moms and their children. You can also meet some of our graduates, including Fendia, our first graduate who is now married, owns her own home, and is a managing Licensed Practical Nurse. Did I mention she also gives to Hope House on a monthly basis?!?
Please come celebrate the last ten years of empowering our amazing, diligent teen moms -- and hear the vision for the next ten!
I hope to see you there!

Friends at Denver Rescue Mission's Family and Senior Homeless Initiative are reporting "We have quite a number of families applying for our program from the Broomfield area. We need more mentors for these families. We were hoping you could help us find people who would be interested in being mentors to these families and seniors through your connections with churches. We do mentor trainings that are about 1 ½ hours long". There's more information about the program and contact information for Melodie Conner below.
=================================
We help homeless families and seniors with first month’s rent and deposit, provide access to Denver Rescue Mission resources, and match them with a mentor team from an area congregation to provide emotional and spiritual support on their journey towards self-sufficiency. Mentoring teams consist of two to six people and are committed to completing seven meetings over six months (about once every three weeks). The most important aspect of the mentoring is the relationship that is built. This is a wonderful opportunity to engage in a high impact ministry, with a relatively low time commitment. This program trains and equips you to truly “love your neighbor as yourself”.
Thank you! Have a great day!

Our ministry partner, Hope House, has a need for mentors for their teen moms. Check out their request and contact Jenny at Hope House if you're interested!
Mentor a Teen Mom in your own Community: Hope House of Colorado works to empower teen moms as they work toward personal and economical self-sufficiency. Currently there are several teen moms in the Westminster/Thornton area who would love to have a mentor meet with them 2-4 times a month and guide them as they work through Hope House’s structured self-sufficiency program. If you are interested, Hope House provides excellent training and support! Contact Jenny at 303-429-1012, ext. 228, or [email protected].
