Conquering the Stage at 38: A late Bloomers Journey
While we may be halfway through the month and I'm not usually one for New Year's resolutions, this year is different. It's the year I finally fully commit and put in the work towards my physique goals. And guess what? I'm taking you along for the ride! 💪
2024 is the year I've been waiting for. It's the year I work towards a dream I've had for over 5 years – stepping on stage and competing. It's a brand new territory for me, but I'm ready to embrace the challenge. I'm working with a coach who has experience in the competitive world, and together, we're going to make magic happen.
I won't lie, it's going to take a lot of hard work, commitment, consistency, and resilience to accomplish this goal. But you know what? I'm tired of putting it off, and I'm not getting any younger. This is the year I take that leap and make my dreams a reality.
But here's the exciting part – I want you to be a part of this journey too! Consider this my first step and my way of being accountable to reaching that stage. I'll be sharing every step of the way – the triumphs, the challenges, the sweat, and the tears. And I hope you'll join me and help me stay accountable too.
Together, we'll celebrate the victories, learn from the setbacks, and inspire each other to push beyond our limits. This is more than just a personal goal – it's a journey we can all embark on together.
So, are you ready to join me on this incredible adventure? Let's make 2024 the year we crush our goals, step out of our comfort zones, and create the physique we've always dreamed of. Together, we're unstoppable! 💪🔥
🌅 Morning! Rolling out of bed and straight into a feel-good stretch. Here's to a brand new day full of possibilities! ✨🧘♂️
Try this to start your morning:
Hold each stretch for about 20-30 seconds on each side.
1. **Standing Forward Fold:** Gently bend at your waist and let your upper body hang towards your toes. Feel the stretch in your hamstrings and lower back.
2. **Quad Stretch:** Stand on one leg, reach back, and hold your foot or ankle behind you, feeling the stretch in the front of your thigh. Switch to the other leg.
3. **Chest Opener:** Clasp your hands behind your back, gently lift your arms, and expand your chest. You'll feel a stretch across your chest and shoulders.
4. **Child's Pose:** Kneel on the floor, sit back on your heels, and stretch your arms forward. Feel the stretch in your back and hips.
5. **Trunk Rotation:** Lie on your back, bring your knees to your chest, and gently lower them to one side. Feel the twist in your lower back and spine. Repeat on the other side.
6. **Neck Stretch:** Gently tilt your head to one side, bringing your ear towards your shoulder. Hold and then switch sides.
Remember, stretches should never be painful. You should feel a gentle pull, but no discomfort. Enjoy the stretch and have a wonderful day ahead! 🌞🧘♂️
I hate the phrase “eat less move more”. It leaves out so many potential nuances when it comes to weight-loss and muscle gains. Its not always that simple.
I need your help. If I were to do a grocery hall with meal ideas geared to help you with your fitness goals what would you want to see?
Good morning! Time to grind. Things to do, goals to crush.
Day 1 of the perform better summit is almost done. While all the classes have been great, this one is definitely top 3 for me so far.
Thanks Don Saladino!
I always hear this "You're gonna kick my a$$". And while it does make me giggle because I will DEFINITELY do that to myself, my goal is NEVER to make you hurt so bad that you can barely move the next day. Yes, you will be a little sore when you first get started or when you're doing something new, but not to the point that you dread going to the bathroom or lifting the towel off the floor. When you're that sore, it's a sign that you did ENTIRELY too much. So if you are working out to the point that you feel sick or can't move the next day, reconsider what you're doing. Don't be afraid to take a step back or to lower the weight. Don't let your ego take over because it can slow your progress.
After a long weekend and a lot of self-reflection, I can tell you that I have not been doing things I Should be. So I will refocusing and getting back on the bandwagon to work on my goals. Step one, get my eating back to where it should be. Step two, get more consistent in the gym. I know me, though. That means I have to have easy-to-make meals with quick, efficient workouts because I don't have the time to spend hours in the gym.
DM me if you want to join in on getting back to basics. Even as a trainer, I do better with a support system. Motivation is fleeting but encouragement goes a long way. Drop some of your favorite go-to quick, healthy recipes, or join me for a workout session! Together, we can inspire and motivate each other to achieve our best selves.

I'm ready for the end of 2022 but I'm not ready for 2023.
I have been thinking a lot about this past year, the things I have accomplished, and the things that I haven't. I am definitely one of those overly self critical people who give grace and patience to everyone but myself. I have dealt with hardship due to injury; I've held myself back on starting projects for fear of failing (can't fail if you don't try mentality) and because of that, I ultimately am not where I want to be. So while I don't FEEL ready for 2023, I know I have areas in my life that I want to use this coming year to improve in.
1. Create better goals that actually makes sense.
2. Work to stop being so critical of myself.
3. Create better daily routines for my everyday life
What do you want to focus on for this coming year? What do you want 2023 to look like?
The sweat is real and I worked it out of her!

Sometimes you have to remind yourself that your feelings of failure are wrong. Twice now I have strived to compete, and twice I have had to place it on hold for the same injury. I have taken several steps backward with my physical health and I feel like I have failed myself. So I have to remember that because I am actively working to heal my body, I haven’t truly failed. My well-being has to come first. And when I am back to where I should be, I’ll start again. So have I failed? Not really. What matters more is that I don’t give up and keep pushing forward.
So when life knocks you down, you get up and push forward.

Sometimes we say that, but don’t really mean it. When things get hard, I personally just want to go back to bed and be done with the day. But then something happens that reminds me not to give up. So here we hard. I will worry about tomorrow, we’ll, tomorrow. But today, we keep pushing forward

What can I do to help you get there efficiently?
Life can get crazy, sometimes down right insane and terrible. The gym use to be my solitude and I lost that somewhere the last couple years… it’s nice to have my place back, that place that makes my troubles disappear even if for only a moment.

Our Story
I start my journey about 2-3 years ago. Growing up, I always played around as a kid "working out" but being skinny came easy to me, so I never took it serious. It wasn't until I got married and had children that I really started to notice that I could no longer do the same things and still stay small. Eventually, I reach my heaviest ever at 150 lbs. And while it doesn't sound like much, I was carrying around 55-60 lbs of body fat and looked VERY pregnant. Every time someone asked me if I was pregnant or how far along I was, I would want to hide and cry. So about 2-3 years ago, I decided to do something about it. in about a year or so, I lost about 20-30 lbs of pure body fat. It was during this process, I learned my true love of fitness and being healthy. Not just losing weight for the moment, but building something that would be completely sustainable for the rest of my life. Now, I want nothing more than to help someone else love what they see in the mirror. I want to help you gain the confidence to feel good in that new 2 piece bikini or swim trunks with no shirt. I want you to feel like you could give 'The Rock' or the sexy "Black Widow' a run for their money.
