2-1-1 Texas is a partnership between United Way of the Brazos Valley and the Texas Information and Referral Network, a 24-Hour Local Information & Referral Services program of the Health and Human Services Commission.
Free Tax-Aide Open for Appointments
Each year, volunteers with the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program offer free income tax preparation to Brazos Valley residents, especially seniors and those in need, and the social service providers who help them.
Tax-Aide operates by appointment and will be open through mid-April at three sites: Ringer Public Library in College Station, Mounce Public Library in Bryan, and St. Mary’s Catholic Church PAC building in Brenham.
To obtain this service, taxpayers should first pick up a Tax-Aide packet at either library or St. Mary’s church office in Brenham. The packet contains scheduling instructions, which are also online at < > or < https://www.bcslibrary.org/tax-aide/ >. Please email questions to [email protected].
Tax-Aide offers same-day preparation and E-filing, the fastest way taxpayers can receive their refund. Appointments may take up to two hours, but participants can be assured they will receive all allowable deductions and credits.
