Because of the tractor show at the Crawford County Fair this week, the recycling trailer will be moved temporarily behind Bob Evans, in the hotel parking lot.
Back by popular demand, the MARCA Shred truck will be at the library on June 16th from 3-6! Bring all your documents to be professionally disposed of!
For anyone who uses the trailer in New Washington:
Our usual trailers that are placed behind New Washington Village Hall are being
repaired, so we are using the shorter trailers right now until the parts come in
for the others. ♻️
These shorter trailers do not have a "mixed office paper"
compartment, but we are still accepting this material.
✉️📄📘
For now, please place all
mixed office paper in the newspaper compartment.

📢 GOOD NEWS! 📢
Beginning today, the recycling trailer that was once parked at Bucyrus City Hall will now be parked inside the Crawford County Fairgrounds.
Please remember to keep your recyclables OFF THE GROUND!
These trailers are emptied at least once per day during the week. To keep the trailer from filling up so quickly, please empty the contents and compact/flatten your plastic bottles so more can fit into each tub.
If your plastic containers are not #1 PETE or #2 HDPE, then please DO NOT put them into the trailer. Bring them to the recycling center. This includes plastic bags.

Where your recycling actually goes – and what you can do about it this Earth Day Americans have long been encouraged to reduce, reuse and recycle. But less than 9% of plastic is recycled in the U.S.
Beginning today, a recycling trailer will no longer be available for use at Bucyrus City Hall.
This is due to continued illegal dumping at the site.

There is no point to placing these on the ground if your intention is to recycle. Anything left on the ground at any trailer is put in a trash dumpster. Our recycling center is open to the public 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday.
If the trailer is full, please bring your recyclables here or wait for another day. The trailers are emptied once per day throughout the week. When time permits, the trailer behind City Hall is emptied twice during the day.
Recycling trailer locations are determined by the Solid Waste Policy Committee. Those meetings are also open to the public. Meeting location is usually at the County Engineer's office across from the County Fairgrounds.
Thanks for recycling. No thank you to the litter you left!
