The tournament benefits the Niagara County Law Enforcement Foundation, which support local law enforcement efforts not funded by tax payer dollars. The American College of Trial Lawyers is comprised of preeminent trial attorneys from the United States and Canada. Fellowship is by invitation only, after a careful investigation into whether an individual has mastered the art of advocacy and whose career has been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility, and collegiality. Although there are currently more than 5,800 fellows, membership cannot exceed more than 1% of the total lawyer population of any state or province. Fellows are selected from all areas of trial practice, whether those advocates represent plaintiffs or defendants, or act as prosecutors or criminal defense lawyers.

Ms. MacDonald received her Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School and earned her undergraduate degree at Niagara University. Her practice includes the defense of casualty and negligence matters including premises liability, products liability, municipal liability, and toxic tort matters. Additionally, she defends clients in cases arising from motor vehicle and industrial construction accidents.

Mr. Dukmen received his undergraduate degree from Wilkes University before graduating from Villanova School of Law.
