BURA commends the hard work of Project Manager Lindsay Frazier who led the City of Buffalo’s Stand-Up Buffalo Eviction Prevention program.

The program, which provided emergency assistance to renters impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, has assisted 1,034 households in crisis. Overall, Stand-Up Buffalo provided $3.5 Million in rental assistance. The program has ended, however BURA will continue to provide guidance to renters.

Project Completion Alert! We are excited to celebrate the completion of the McCarley Gardens rehabilitation project! BURA contributed $1 Million in HOME funds for this project. The project featured the rehabilitation of existing townhomes and the construction of four new buildings. Updates include things like updated kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, and paint.

Whether a child gets an adequate amount of sleep has a direct impact on their overall physical and mental development. Through our campaign, the funds raised will be for children without beds to get beds and bedding, increasing their ability to thrive in school.
