Reminder that today is the last day to grab something for the Dads and Fathers Figures in your life. We’re closed tomorrow to enjoy some family time. Next week is going to be a hot one too so get your books ready for your cooling down spaces. We’re here until 6 pm on this sunny Saturday.

Today is the last day for the sticker machine and somehow with all of the stickers that have been purchased no one has found the $50 gift certificate!! We’re here until 5 pm if you want to get some amazing stickers and take your shot at it!

It’s almost the end of school, which means Summer Reading is right around the corner. Instead of giving your $$ to the guy that wants to colonize space, stop here and get a gently used copy! It’s the same book just cheaper and keeps the money in our community.

If you absolutely want to new copy, you can do that through our site! You’ll be helping indie bookstore across the country too. Link is in bio on Instagram, the comments on Facebook or Stories for both!

The AC is keeping Chibi, Stuffy and I cool on this muggy Thursday. We’re here until 5 pm.

Slight change in hours this week as we’ll be closed this Sunday for Father’s Day. That means from now until Saturday, we’ll be here for gifts for the Dads and Father Figures in your lives.

The sun is back and so are we until 5 pm today.

Reminder that we are double dipping today! Grant Street is open 11-4 and we’re also from 11-4. Two great places to get some books and bookish things from us today!

Sticker machine is in its final countdown at our locations. We are so happy that picked us as its first location. There is still a $50 gift certificate lurking within the machine as well as amazing stickers by local artists for only $1.25. Bring your quarters and stop by! We’re here until 6 pm today!

With a few delays, here is our June calendar! This Sunday, we’ll be double dipping with the kiddo holding down Grant St and Guest Bookseller Sue out with me 11-4. We’re shutting it down on Father’s Day because we do the family thing.

On June 29th we’re pulling double duty again! Sue will be hanging at for their first annual Children’s Boom Festival and I’ll be at the Taste of Diversity Festival from 11-7. We are sponsoring the Family Fun Zone with great activities and also selling our global authors. The physical store will closed that day because we cannot be 3 places at once, but come by for great food, great entertainment and great times.

We’re here until 5 pm on this hazy Thursday and current me is happy past me forgot to lower the AC before leaving yesterday.

We still have this awesome bike rack looking for a new home. It is free, you just need a large vehicle and people to haul it as it is pretty solid. It does have some rust but it’s an easy paint cover as there do not appear to be any rust holes. I really would rather not have to put it out for scrap because it had a lot of life left to give, but we have patio work coming up soon and the clock is ticking. DM us if interested.

We’re going to be taking a short break and be closed Sunday-Wednesday. Then we’re coming back with the Never Read Book Club on Thursday at 6 pm. “The Alchemist” is only 197 pages so plenty of time to get through it and join us!

Friday starts Summer Hours. We’re moving to 11-5 Wednesday-Friday to give you one extra hour of shopping every weekday throughout the summer.

It’s a hazy one out there and the AC is on in here until 6 pm. Stop by to get a jump start on your beach/hammock/porch reads before the long weekend!

Welcome to the store! We have their bookmarks and a sticker design available for you. As much as we love our used books (obviously), we also ❤️ bringing fun bookish things by small business to you as well.

We’re here 11-4 today and 11-6 tomorrow. We’re debating our Sunday hours based on our neglected vegetable garden and the Buffalo Marathon path. The visit to yesterday has me in a tomato mindset.

Yesterday marked one year since my Dad passed from his battle with Parkinson’s. When you lose someone to a degenerative disease, it feels like you mourn them twice - their death and the loss of the person they were before they were consumed by the disease.

This week we will be donating a percentage of our profits to in honor of my father and those still battling this disease.

We’re here until 4 pm today on this sweltering Grant St Wednesday. AC is trying to cool the place down and new-to-us books are hitting Stories.

It’s World Baking Day and World Plant a Vegetable Garden Day. Admittedly I considered playing hooky today to get my veggies started, but my shoulder was quick to remind me why I have an MRI at the end of the month.

So we’re here and open on this balmy Sunday until 4 pm today.

A few shop upgrades and updates. Thanks again to for our 3 new bike racks! This is bringing much needed bike parking to our area of Grant Street. We have a large rack that is looking for a new home! Feel free to DM us about coming to pick it up.

We also have some new awesomeness from hanging on the walls. We felt like life could use some of these thoughts right now.

Speaking of we are restocked with bookmarks as well as tote bags. Sticker restocks are on the way!

Tonight is our Author Talk with Thomas Reigstad with his book “The Illustrated Mark Twain and the Buffalo Express” at 6 pm. Despite the current ☀️, the forecast for this afternoon and evening (plus my ever expanding hair) point to rain making this an indoor event tonight.

We also had our new bike racks installed today! Thank Mohammad from for all of your help getting our racks installed. We have 2 out front and one on Garner if you are visiting our buildingmates, The Heat Center.

We are open for shopping until 5:45 and will then be transitioning over for the Author Talk at 6 pm. Copies of Tom’s book will be available to buy directly from him. See you tonight!

So we have to give a special gratitude post to and for helping to get our son’s bike back. The story is pure great timing and luck.

My son locked his bike up at LaSalle Station and I was supposed to pick him in a couple hours because it had a flat. On my way there I get a call that the bike is stolen. I had my son call Campus since the bike was originally from there to try to get it into the stolen bike database.

Turns out Joe from Reddy Bikes found the bike abandoned - probably because the thief couldn’t ride it. He saw the Campus sticker and brought it to them. We headed straight to Campus and there it was! The words “This never happens!” has been said and DM’ed many times. 😂

If your bike is stolen visit your local cycle shops, make sure you have your serial number, keep your store sticker on your bike, and get it into the social media feeds and databases for stolen bikes.

Also, make sure you have a good lock and aren’t borrowing a rope lock. 😉

We know that amazing parent right in the middle of this still!

Bike to School Day in Buffalo More than 100 kids and parents jumped on two wheels today, celebrating Bike to School Day in Buffalo.

It is 2 weeks to book club! Plenty of time to get your copy of “The Alchemist”, read it, and come hang out with us on the 30th at 6 pm.

Tomorrow is a free Author Talk with Thomas Reigstad on “The Illustrated Mark Twain and the Buffalo Express” at 6 pm. Still hoping to hold this one on the patio, but we’ll make the call tomorrow if it’s indoors or outdoors. Either way, Tom will be here talking about and signing copies of his book. You won’t want to miss it!

For now, the door is open on this perfect Spring day on Grant Street.

Neil deGrasse Tyson is coming to Buffalo in October. Excited is an understatement for how I feel about it.
