Thank you President Joe Biden 🕊️
Jill and I join the people of Buffalo in honoring the memories of the 10 souls stolen from us in an unconscionable act of hatred against the Black community two years ago.
I know how painful these anniversaries can be, and I want you to know you remain in my prayers.
On this day we solemnly remember and honor the ten souls taken from us. Our hearts ache for those left in loss, the community trauma endured, and the justice still yet denied to Buffalo's East Side.
Too many workers and families of color have labored for lifetimes under the oppressive yoke of racism and white supremacy—living with the echoes of a shameful past, hearing the loud, hateful sirens that still call for violence against Black bodies today. We remember, we continue our work, and we will not forget. 🕊️
Wishing every mother in our movement a happy, Mother's Day!
In the U.S., the burden of unpaid care reduces a working mother's average earnings by $300,000 across her lifetime. The value of unpaid labor by women—mostly mothers—is in the trillions of dollars globally.
This we recommit ourselves in the fight for a better economic system that ensures America’s working mothers, care workers and family caregivers aren’t left behind.
Last call for tonight's phonebank. ☎️📲 Join us from 6-8PM and turn dials into votes! RSVP link below.

Join us tomorrow in celebrating these labor leaders and what they achieved for Buffalo!
Union members, community allies, and friends of labor,
It is our honor and pleasure to invite you to a recognition and celebration of two WNY union affiliates who have gone above and beyond to answer the call of service to our community and to our labor movement. Buffalo Common Council President Christopher Scanlon and his colleagues will be honoring National Association of Letter Carriers Branch # 3 Buffalo/WNY President David Grosskopf Jr. and APWU Local 374 President Frank Resetaris for their outstanding efforts in advocating for the rights and well-being of USPS workers, the mail processing facility on William Street in Buffalo, as well as postal customers across the Western New York region.
We invite you to join us on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 2:00 PM in Buffalo City Hall, Council Chambers (13th floor). This event will provide an opportunity for us to express our gratitude to Dave, Frank, and their members for their tireless advocacy and to honor their remarkable achievement. Your presence, as a member or ally of the Western New York Area Labor Federation, AFL-CIO, will help bolster the solidarity and unity of this moment for celebration.
Whether you wear scrubs, a hardhat, or a suit; whether you drive over rolling hills or take the NFTA; whether you punch in at a factory, school, or construction site, our members have a stake in this fight.
Reminder: Buffalo CLC meeting tonight at 6:30PM, UAW Region 9 Hall.

Stand with USPS Union Workers: Buffalo NEEDS William Street! Postmaster General DeJoy is planning to ship Buffalo's mail processing out of WNY. This will mean slower delivery, more stress on our postal workers, and could cost us vital jobs across the region. This public input meeting is our chance to be heard in-person, stand with union postal workers, and te...
Black history is not just the past—it’s also the present. It’s also Black joy. It's Black workers. It’s a celebration of culture and community. It’s coming together to fight for freedom and justice.
Labor will ALWAYS be on the front lines of fighting against racism in the workplace and systemic racism and exploitation in our economic system.
We're joyful today for our union cards, the power of our solidarity, and all our members and their families celebrating Christmas and the holidays together. ❤️💚
Right next to the first unionized Starbucks in the country is a small, locally-owned restaurant using the same Big Corporate, retaliatory, union-busting tactics against it's newly ionized workers. It's a shameful attack on workers rights. Come stand with striking ETS Workers United members at today's rally!
Solidarity Needed! ✊🏾 Workers at Elmwood Tacos and Subs, who recently voted to organize with Workers United, are on STRIKE. Management has retaliated by cutting hours, creating unnecessary economic hardship for the members.
Rally with striking ETS Workers United TOMORROW at 12 Noon at 937 Elmwood Ave, Buffalo, NY 14222.
