🇺🇸Today is Flag Day and a school teacher from Buffalo is the reason for the occasion.

The day to commemorate Old Glory is thanks to a woman by the name of Sara Hinson. She was a teacher for Buffalo Public Schools for 30 years.

Hinson taught her students the importance of the American flag, what it stands for and how to pay respect to the flag.

On June 14, 1891, she started the tradition of a formal ceremony to salute and honor the flag. June 14, 1777, is when the continental congress accepted the design of the American flag.

Her efforts not only caught the attention of other teachers, but also President Woodrow Wilson.

In 1916, Wilson issued a proclamation that officially established June 14 as Flag Day.

Hinson is buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery where hundreds of BPS students would usually celebrate each year before the pandemic.🇺🇸

Going to Dr. Bob's for my Dental appointments is actually Quite Enjoyable!!! Dr. Martin & the Hygienists always make sure I am comfortable,they are very personable, & we always share a few laughs. The work on my teeth is top notch, everything is fully explained to me before & after which I really appreciate!!! The Receptionists are kind, efficient & I Especially like My Queen of Hawaii!!! It's never a long wait, either which I REALLY like!!! 5 out of 5 stars for sure 😃😊😁!!!!

I never have a long wait in the waiting room. My dental hygienist is respectful, polite and does a bang up cleaning. She is detailed and does a great job.
The dentists have always been thorough and take time to give me explanations if needed. They are willing to look things up and call me at home with info if required. They make me feel like I matter, my teeth matter. I have all original teeth and am 67!
