One week from today Shakespeare in Delaware Park will perform on the Front Lawn of the Town of Tonawanda Aquatic and Fitness Center. For One Night Only, this play will feature Isaiah Brown, Ayden Herreid, Katie Osborn, Lauren Teller, and Norman Sham in a version of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream abridged and adapted for a cast of five actors and three puppets. Come enjoy an evening of merriment with this classic tale of four lovers, foolish tradesmen, and fairy mischief!
Sweet Beginnings Bakery will be selling delicious desserts and Bella Dulce Cafe will be selling an assortment of refreshing gelato! Bring chairs and a blanket and enjoy the night.
Reminder - Adjusted Hours at the Aquatic and Fitness Center for today, Monday, August 5 and tomorrow Tuesday, August 6.
Just a reminder that beginning today Monday, august 5 - Thursday, August 8 the greens at Brighton Golf Course are being aerated and there will only be 9 holes to play.
Not to rush summer but the start of Fall Soccer House Program is just around the corner. Registration is open through August 9, and the session begins on Monday, August 19.

Rusty Nickel, formed in 2017, and performs Classic to Current Rock and Country Rock.
Rusty Nickel is the House Band for the National Buffalo Chicken Wing Festival at Highmark Stadium for 4 years now. They perform at all of the major outdoor music festivals in WNY as well as all the taverns, bars, restaurants throughout the NY State area. Come Get Rusty!

There are only two weeks left of Arts in the Park at Kenney Park. Stop over to the Shelter by the playground tomorrow, Monday, August 5, between 11:00 am -12:00 pm for an hour of Arts and Crafts. Free and open to everyone.
Reminder the Pool at the Town of Tonawanda Aquatic and Fitness Center will close at 12:30 pm on Monday, August 5th and at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, August 6th for the Tonawanda Titans Swim Club meet. This closure will also include the Locker Rooms, Sauna and Steam Room. The Fitness Center will operate at normal hours.
All AFC passes and memberships will be honored at the Outdoor Pools during the closure. Thank you.
National Night Out 2024 is almost here. All are welcome to join the Town of Tonawanda Police Department on Tuesday, August 6 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Lincoln Park Athletic Complex, 1200 Parker Blvd.
There will be plenty of activities for the whole family including food, games, Police, Paramedic and Fire Vehicles and Equipment, SWAT and K9 demonstrations, Martial Art demos and classes by Championship Martial Arts 716 at 6:15, 6:45, 7:15, 7:45 and so much more. Don't miss out.
Come stop by the new Paddock Chevrolet Ice Arena next Monday August 5th for the first official Tonawanda Whalers game! Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30pm
Fitness on the Lawn continues in August. Meet us on the Front Lawn of the Town of Tonawanda Aquatic and Fitness Center for a Free All levels Flow Yoga Class. Bring a mat and water bottle and start your weekend right!

A few spots remain for the Day Trip to the Lockport Locks with the Town of Tonawanda Senior Center on September 9. Tickets must be purchased in-person at the Senior Center, 291 Ensminger Rd. If you have questions call 716.874.3266.

Congratulations to all the kids who participated in the Town of Tonawanda Youth, Parks & Recreation track meet. The kids have been training hard and it showed. Next week they close the summer track program Olympic style.

It's a great day to visit the Library Bookmobile and check out some books in case you need some indoor activities! Come over to Kenney Park between 10 am and 12 pm. There will be storytime and coloring at 11 am in the shelter by the playground.

Two weeks from today - Shakespeare in Delaware Park’s summer touring show, A Midsummer Night’s Tour, comes to the Aquatic & Fitness center! The show will be held on the front lawn at 7:00 pm, August 12th, and will run for one hour. Sweet Beginnings Bakery and Bella Dulce Cafe will have sweet treats and gelato available for purchase. Bring your own chairs or blankets to comfortably enjoy the performance.

Youth, Parks and Recreation is running a Lacrosse camp this week at the Lincoln Park Athletic Complex! Kids have been learning so much, having fun, and staying cool in the air conditioned, indoor turf facility. It's a win for everyone!
