Happy 2nd KegWorks anniversary to our Sourcing and Customer Care representative, Mike Yannazio! Mike’s main role with the company is responding to customer inquiries via phone or email. He is also involved with finding vendors for products and services related to KegWorks.

Mike’s greatest passion outside of work is coaching youth sports, which he’s done for 25 years. He’s coached baseball, football, and lacrosse and won back-to-back championships in Hamburg, N.Y., in both baseball and football. He also coaches disabled children in a Challenger baseball league. Additionally, Mike is a big history buff, and in 2020, he traveled to the Netherlands and Germany to visit many of the places his father passed through while serving during World War II.

Happy 19th KegWorks anniversary to our CEO and majority owner, Tom McManus! Tom's journey with KegWorks began in the early 2000s when he started providing seasonal help picking and packing orders. He eventually took on a full-time role as CEO in 2005, and last year, he became the majority owner of the company.

Tom is known for his outstanding leadership and entrepreneurial spirit. In addition to leading KegWorks, he is a coach who helps other CEOs and their organizations develop their leadership teams. Tom also serves on a number of Boards, including the Entrepreneurs Organization, St. Joseph Collegiate Institute, the Buffalo Renaissance Foundation and the Kaleida Health Foundation.

Tom, one of the longest-tenured members of our sales team, oversees the Midwestern and Northwestern areas of the United States. He is a huge fan of our hometown teams, the Buffalo Bills and Sabres, and is a season ticket holder for both. Every year, he and his wife travel to one Bills road game, with their ultimate goal of visiting every NFL stadium. They’ll check Houston off their list next season.

Jason is part of our ace fabricating team as one of our tube benders, forming the bar rail for custom orders. In addition to being a proud father of two girls, Jason’s two passions outside of work are woodworking and video games. In fact, he loves to combine those two hobbies to create unique projects such as shelving inspired by Tetris and a play set and statues inspired by Super Mario Bros.

How high is too high when it comes to bar rail brackets?

One of the most common questions about bar rail is how high off the floor they should be installed. While there is some slight variation depending on the brackets you choose, most of the time, it’s going to be installed 6-8” from the floor.

We have a couple of options if you’re looking to go higher than that, but 6-8” is pretty standard and provides a comfortable setting for most people.
