PARISH UPDATE AND LITURGY SCHEDULE:

Glory be to Jesus Christ!

I have returned to the rectory from McAuley Rehab, and I am truly thankful for all of your cards, well wishes, and prayers for my good health and healing.

I intend to serve liturgy this Saturday, August 10th at 4:30 PM (+ Betty Wujcik, from family, 100-year birthday) with the help of Deacon David. We also intend to have liturgy this Sunday at NOON (for Parishioners).

I will still be receiving Physical Therapy at home, so I need to take things slowly. The liturgy schedule for next week will be as follows:

Thursday, August 15th - Feast of Dormition - liturgy will be served at 10 AM (+Paul & Helen Nowadly from Elaine)
Friday, August 16th - Memorial for Vera Marc - funeral liturgy will be served at 10 AM
Saturday, August 17th - Divine Liturgy will be served at 4:30 PM (for Parishioners)
Sunday, August 18th - Divine Liturgy will be served at NOON (Thanksgiving for Prayers)

I intend to resume a normal liturgy schedule for the following week and I will publish a parish bulletin, as long as things continue to go well. Thank you for your patience and your continued prayers.

Я вже вернувся з регабілітації. Сердечна подяка усім заваші карточки, побажання, і молитви. за моє здоров'я.

Св. Літургії будуть в такому порядку:
Субота, 10 серпня о 4:30 веч. - Бетти Вуйцік - 100 років з дня народження (від родини)
Неділя, 11 серпня о полудне - За Парохіян. Дякую дияконові Давидові за поміч.

Я ще все буду одержувати терапію вдома, так щоще потриває поворот до нормального.

Четвер, 15 серпня, свято Успіння Пресвятої Богородиці - 10:00 рано - +Павло і Гелена Новадлей (від Елейн)
П'ятниця, 16 серпня о 10:00 год. рано - Похорон +Віри Марк. Вічная Пам'ять!
Субота, 17 сероня о 4:30 веч. - За Парохіян
Неділя, 18 серпня о 12 год. (полудне) - Подячна за всі Ваші молитви.

Important Reminders –
1. Father Marijan’s Rehab is going well and he should be leaving Rehab sometime next week.
2. This Sunday’s Liturgy will again be at 12:00PM.
3. Help is needed to set up the tents, tables and chairs on Saturday, August 3th at 9:30AM.
4. Items are still needed for the Kitchen Jar Game and Baked Goods. Gifts Cards and Theme Baskets already made up will be greatly appreciated.
5. Please help support the parish by attending the Parish Picnic on Sunday.
6. Next Tuesday, August 6th is the Feast of the Transfiguration- (Blessing of Fruit). Since Father Marijan will still be in Rehab, you can attend Liturgy at one of the other Ukrainian churches:
St. Basil’s Lancaster – Monday, August 5th at 5:00PM
Our Lady of Perpetual Help – Lackawanna, Tuesday, August 6th – 9:00AM
St John the Baptist – Kenmore, Tuesday, August 6th - 9:00AM


Важливі пригадки:
1. Реабілітація отця Маріяна проходить добре, і він повинен вернутися до дому наступного тижня.
2. Цієї неділі Літургія знову буде о 12:00
3. Потрібна допомога у приготуванні шатрів, столів і крісел у суботу, 3 серпня, о 9:30 рано.
4. Потребуємо речі для гри «Кухонна банка» та ПЕЧИВО. Будемо дуже вдячні за подарункові картки та вже приготовані тематичні кошики.
5. Просимо підтримати парафію, беручи участь у парафіяльному пікніку у цю неділю та допомогти.
6. Наступного вівторка, 6 серпня, свято Преображення Господнього (благословення овочів). Оскільки отець Маріян все ще буде на реабілітації, Ви можете відвідати Літургію в одній з інших українських церков:
Святого Василія, Ланкастер – понеділок, 5 серпня о 5:00
Богородиці Неустанної Помочі, Лакаванна - вівторок, 6 серпня – 9:00 ранку
Святого Івана Хрестителя, Кенмор - вівторок, 6 серпня - 9:00 ранку.

Sunday, August 4, 2024 – Parish Picnic Update!!!

Next Sunday is our Annual Picnic. Your help is needed to make this parish activity a success!

What we still need:

1. Items for the Kitchen Jar Game. As of today, little if anything has been donated. We need things like: flour, sugar, baking supplies, kitchen gadgets, cleaning supplies, etc.

2. Baked Goods – Let Luba Joven or Olga Pucak know what you will donate.

3. Theme Baskets – Baskets or Gift Cards can be dropped off at the church on Monday or Thursday from 9:00AM-12:00PM or Thursday and Friday from 3:00PM-6:00PM.

4. Help will be needed on Saturday morning, August 3rd at 9:30AM to set up tents, tables and chairs, and also on Sunday around 5:00PM to take down and put away the tents, tables and chairs.

Father Marijan will be in Rehab for two weeks. That means there will probably be a change in the time for Sunday Liturgy in the upcoming weeks. Please watch for an email indicating any changes.

Наступної неділі наш щорічний парафіяльний пікнік. Потрібна ваша допомога, щоб ця парафіяльна діяльність була успішною.

Що нам ще потрібно:

1. Предмети для гри Kitchen Jar. На сьогодні пожертвувано небагато, якщо взагалі нічого. Нам потрібні такі речі, як борошно, цукор, випічка, кухонні пристосування, миючі засоби тощо.

2. Випічка – Нехай Люба Йовен чи Ольга Пуцак пожертвують.

3. Тематичні кошики – кошики чи подарункові картки можна залишити в церкві в понеділок або четвер з 9:00 до 12:00 або в четвер і п’ятницю з 3:00 до 6:00.

4. Потрібна буде допомога в суботу вранці, 3 серпня, о 9:30 ранку, щоб встановити намети, столи та стільці, а також у неділю близько 5:00, щоб розібрати та прибрати намети, столи та стільці.

Отець Маріян два тижні буде в реабілітації. Це означає, що найближчими тижнями, , буде зміна часу недільної Літургії. Слідкуйте за електронним листом із зазначенням будь-яких змін.

Dear Parishioners & Friends of St. Nicholas:

It was decided that Father Marijan will need to go to rehab before returning home. Therefore, he will be unable to serve the liturgies this weekend, and possibly next weekend too. As a result, Father Mykola Drofych will serve at St. Nicholas on Saturday and Sunday. The Saturday Liturgy will remain the same at 4:30 pm. However, the Sunday Liturgy will be changed to 12:00 pm - NOON, as it was this past weekend. Please continue to keep Father Marijan in your prayers. Шановні парафіяни церкви Святого Миколая,
Було вирішено, що отець Марʼян має пройти реабілітацію перед поверненням додому. Тому він не зможе служити Літургії у ці вихідні, а можливо, й на наступні. Відтак у суботу та неділю тут буде отець Микола Дрофич. Суботня Літургія буде у звичайний час о 4:30. Недільну Літургію буде змінено на 12:00, як це було минулих вихідних. Продовжуйте молитися за отця Марʼяна. Дякую за розуміння.

Dear Parishioners and Friends:

Father Marijan is recovering from his back surgery. He will remain in the hospital this weekend and he is deeply appreciative of all your prayers and well wishes. He will need to take things easy for the next few weeks, so please be patient with him.

God is so very good and has watched over our dear pastor and friend. Father will need physical therapy for a little while, so he may only be able to have services on the weekends initially. Continue to keep Father Marijan in your thoughts and prayers throughout his recovery.

Friendly reminder: the liturgy this Sunday will be served at NOON by a visiting priest. Saturday liturgy will still be at 4:30 pm (as usual) and served by another visiting priest.

Father Marijan is in the hospital having a medical procedure done this weekend. Thankfully, the good Lord has been watching over him, and Father sends his best wishes to everyone. Please keep him in your prayers. 🙏

As a result, there will be no bulletin published for this week and no live streaming of this weekend’s liturgies. However, the Saturday 4:30 pm liturgy and 10 am liturgy on Sunday will be served by Father Mykola.

The Prosphora/ Christmas Dinner at St. Nicholas will go on as planned for tomorrow, Sunday, January 28th, immediately following divine liturgy. God bless!
