Veterans, today is to honor you. Thank you for your service.

It's !! What are your favorite ways to make taco's? Crockpot chicken taco's are one of our favorites. Tastes great with corn or flour tortilla's or as a taco bowl! Garnish with cheese, sour cream, lettuce, hot sauce or whatever toppings you prefer.

Ingredients:
16oz jar of salsa
2 limes
One onion
One green pepper
1 package of fajita seasoning (or taco)
Fresh cilantro, chopped
3lb of chicken breast
Salt and pepper, to taste

Prep:
1. In your crockpot, mix the salsa, lime juice, fajita (or taco) seasoning, 1/4 cup of water or chicken broth and cilantro.
2. Season chicken with salt and pepper then add to slow cooker.
3. Cut and add the sliced onion and pepper.
4. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or 6-7 on low.
5. Once cooked thoroughly, remove the chicken and shred with a fork. Return the chicken to crockpot and stir.
6. Enjoy!

October 3-9 is National Fire Prevention Week. As the temperatures cool down, there is a higher chance for fire damage to occur in the home. A few tips to make sure your home is protected this fall/winter:

-Install smoke alarms on every level of your home; inside bedrooms and outside sleeping areas AND near the kitchen.
-Test smoke alarms monthly and change batteries no less than once per year.
-Have and practice a fire escape plan with your family.
-Closed doors help slow the spread of heat, smoke, and fire.
-If a fire occurs in your home, get out, stay out, and call for help.
