Good Morning!

I hope you all are doing well and are healthy. Just a little update. Sadly this years Blackbelt Camp has been cancelled due to the rising cases of the delta variant. We will still be having the physical part of the test at the park I believe on the same day that the physical test was supposed to be on. More information will come to you about the written test. Remember to keep studying and practice all your forms, kicks, and punches. This is still your test and just remember to enjoy the little moments of the journey. Hopefully next November we will be with our whole karate family again and enjoy the camp!

Just a few reminders

We will be closed for Labor Day (Saturday and Monday) ( 9/04-09/06)

We are allowing you to wear your karate world T-shirts till October.

For those who are a red belt and higher, Blackbelt camp it will be the first weekend in November.

For those who are hoping to test for Blackbelt or next rank be sure that you are practicing.

Other then that have a good rest of your weekend and we will see you on the mats this Monday.

Before I start off with the few annoucements I want to congratulate all the brand new black belts, also all the certified black belts and lastly the black belt that ranked up. You guys did awesome and we are going have an amazing summer! ( remember to keep practicing your forms and that goes for I, Carly Hall as well)

Few announcements:

You are allowed to wear your karate world t-shirts, dobak pants and belt to class now. ( we are now entering those hot months so please keep drinking water)

We will be closed July 3rd for Fourth of July weekend, but classes will resume on Monday July 5th.

Sadly no summer blast this summer.

Also the next few weeks we will be taking pictures of the school / instructors/ masters/ students.

Happy summer break everyone! Few announcements tomorrow ( Saturday 29th and Monday 31st) we will be closed for Memorial Day.

Starting on June 1st we are allowed to wear our Karate World t-shirts. Please see Master Jett if you need to get one.

On June 12th we will have our Blackbelt promotions!!! Invite your friends and family to let them celebrate in our accomplishments.

Hope everyone is doing well. After looking at the forecast and illnesses we are postponing the Blackbelt test to May 8. It will be at the park. No word on the written test yet but we will keep you updated. So everybody rest up, keep studying and practice.

Good Afternoon Everyone!
I hope that those who did the pretest number 2 yesterday had an awesome test. Sorry I could not be there but I was there in moo do spirit. Here are some announcements for you guys!

This upcoming Saturday, April 24th, we will be having our blackbelt test at the park. Make sure you are practicing this week, also don't forget your weapons, sparring gear, belt, and water. Let's make it our best test yet!

Also if you are planning to come to Wednesday Class , April 21st, We will be at the park so that Mr. Davis can do part of his instructor's test. Make sure you are in full debak and that will be at our normal time of 6:00 pm.

The Gup Testing (color belt testing) will be on May 22nd, and that will also be at the park. Make sure you see Master Jett so that you can get your boards and sign up for the test.

After Memorial Day, May 31st, You are allowed to wear your karate world t-shirts to class. If you need to get a new one please see Master Jett to order shirts from.

Also side note, I am making a birthday list so that we can celebrate your birthday. If you can send me you and your kids birthdays so I can make a list.

Just a couple of reminders

We will be closed April 3rd through the 10th for spring break and Easter.

For the students who are hoping to test to Blackbelt or their new rank; your paperwork is due tomorrow! Also for those who are renewing the renewal fee is due tomorrow!

Hope all is well on this rainy morning. Here are some few announcements.

We will be closed from 4/03 to 4/10 for Easter and Spring Break.

The Blackbelt test is on 4/24 at 10 am at Buford Park

Black belt candidates just a reminder that your paperwork is due on 3/27 which is not this weekend but next weekend!

This week for candidacy we are going to be through all staff forms and staff techniques. If you know the dagger form we will be also be going over that.

Also we are wanting to take pictures of our students at the studio. So that we can update our website with current families and student that train. If you have a good family photo in your karate uniforms please send it by message on here.

Feels like spring maybe just right around the corner. Just got word that it will be in the 60s and 70s and I believe we will be hitting 80s on Saturday. It will be a GREAT day for a belt test!

As I promised I was going to give advice to those who are testing for a blackbelt or their next rank.

Meet your best friends for the next few weeks.
Yup the student handbook and flashcards. If you would like if you write out your flashcards I can laminate them for you so that when it comes for you to test again you will have them. My handbook looks brand new because my old one was so beaten up from me reading through it. Piece of advice is to put sticky notes with what section is what so when you are stomp with what a two finger strike is you can look back easily on the page. I will also doing an quizlet that you guys can easily accessed and I will have that done by the end of the week.

You guys are going to do great and remember if you don’t have a student handbook to see one of the masters so they can get one in your hands. Also if you are a visual learner we do have dvds of all the forms except blackbelt forms, ask sir about getting one. Also if you need advice or help don’t hesitate to ask any of the Instructors or Instructors in training. ( we have been where you have been!) Also you can schedule private sessions to help with areas that you feel are your toughest.

Keep studying, remember to write your papers ( personally the paper is a time of reflection and I find listening to pumped up music helps me write my papers) and keep a training schedule ( I myself need to work on this)

You are rockstars, you will do amazingly,
