Lindy Aney has been an active member of our chapter for 4 years. She has served on our club’s leadership team and exemplifies what it means to have a servant heart. Lindy has always gone above and beyond the call of duty as a member, which makes her a valuable leader both in our club and in the classroom. Lindy’s favorite Beta memories include winning the leadership award at our awards banquet and coordinating our Living Literature Team. After graduation Lindy will attend Northwestern State University 🧡 💜 where she will major in Early Childhood Education 🍎 ✏️ She also aspires to become a Junior Beta Sponsor once she is employed as a teacher!

We have enjoyed every opportunity to serve others alongside this wonderful young woman, and cannot wait to see what this next chapter holds! Graduation is right around the corner, and your future is bright!

We are a local Optometrist / Optical looking to hire an Optometric Technician for our Bunkie office.
The individual we hire must be a great communicator, team player, ability to multitask and have EXCELLENT customer service skills. Must be able to multitask in a BUSY setting.
Job duties include but not limited to Greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance benefits information, billing patients, daily cash outs, and other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Pretesting patients, gathering patient information, etc.

Applicant must be tech savvy and able to learn new software, procedures and utilization of testing equipment. Our practice is open Monday-Thursday, 8-5 and Friday to noon.

Schedule:

* Monday-Thursday 8-5
* Friday 8-12

Experience:
* Customer Service: 1 year

* Insurance experience (preferred)

* Medical Office: 1 year (Preferred)

In the spirit of giving, the LaPoint family would like to invite the community to join in our annual charity donation drive. This year, we are collecting donations to support the Avoyelles Animal Welfare Society. You are welcome to drop off donations at either our Bunkie or Marksville clinic locations. We will collect donations until Thursday, December 21st.
