Ashton Farm Summer Day Camp
Summer Day Camp for children ages 5-12 Ashton Farm is 72 acres of the old historical Ashe Plantation.
We have developed it into a summer day camp designed to provide children the opportunities to learn the skills of various sports, to become a part of farm life, to feel the joy of being together in camp life, and to get to know and appreciate the atmosphere of nature.
It's Friday! Here on the farm it's Rodeo Friday, we have so much fun with all the activities. Bubble gum blowing contest, hula hooping contest, sack race, chicken catch, standing broad jump, barnyard run and after lunch we have BB guns for those 8 years and older or an art contest. Followed with an afternoon treat down by the lake during swim time.
****PUPDATE**** This little girl is still looking a home. She's get well socialized with all the campers and farm animals. She even rides the bus to pick-up and drop-off the campers like her mom and dad.

Our 4th of July carnival was so fun with lots of treats along with games face painting and balloons. I'm pretty sure this group had so much fun! I know we did.
What a great group of campers this week. Everyone came in red white and blue. We had a great parade. Hope you all have a safe and fun 4th of July.
Arts and crafts and a little car parade made the day!
When somethings just bugging you.... This camper found a large beetle. We identified it for him... It was a Dung beetle, he found a pile of horse manure and let him go there. He came running back all excited as the beetle made short work to dissappear into the pile of manure.
We got some hay delivered and these three tried to walk the hay bale. These are some of our Jr. counselors Wyatt, Kylie, and Anna.
We fit in a couple relays this afternoon with the help of a few Jr. Jr. Counselors Luke and Joey the stars of the show.
The farrier came out today. The kids got to watch the horses get their pedicures. Thanks Derrick Harrelson Farrier Services

This is still one of my favorite activities. All the kids enjoy it and even Maple one of our goldens today!
Short story below, it's a good read.
During covid a public school PE teacher donated this parachute to the camp. She was so sad as the kids in schools were no longer able to participate in this activity. We talked for hours and she was awesome. I hope she sees some of these post and realizes how many kids through our Summer camp program have enjoyed it.
Even the horses got a watermelon treat today! We almost didn't have a tractor ride today... We had a flat tire on the trailer but that was no big issue, Josh put a plug in it and we were on our way.
Today's crafts we made compass necklaces. Maybe all the campers will be able to find all their lost and found today! LOL
Check out this cute little note we got today. We love getting these kind of notes and messages.
Good morning and happy first day of Summer! Tractor ride and watermelon day.
Water time is always the best part of the day!
What a great day for archery. Check out all those bullseyes and high scores. Great job campers. Their form is great as well.
Fishing tournament was a success.
Camp families don't forget we have plenty farm fresh eggs for sale $4 a dozen. These girls collected over 100 on Monday.
This is definitely a fishing group. So this morning we will be holding another Ashton Farm fishing tournament. We can't wait to see all of their catches.

Good morning camp families. If you have not signed up or have not sent in your deposit before the deadline back in March do not show up at the bus. This puts us in a precarious situation and it is not fair to anyone on the waitlist.
