Calvary Baptist Church

Looking forward to church services tomorrow as we continue our series of Expository Preaching Through Mark. We will be in Mark 11:27-33 as we look at "The Importance of Standing For the Truth". Come join us for Sunday School at 10 a.m. We have classes for all ages. The Adult Class is studying through the Book of Revelation. Our Morning Worship Services begin at 11 a.m. that we broadcast weekly here on Facebook. Our Afternoon Services begin at 2 p.m. We have Wednesday afternoon services at 2 p.m., where we are studying through Psalms 119. We also broadcast a Devotional Time at 4 p.m. on Facebook weekly of this same Study in Psalms 119. Everyone is always welcome at Calvary Baptist Church.

We seem to have had problems with our ability to reply to the comments posted during our sermons. I am working on fixing that issue. Due to being out of town this afternoon, I won't be able to to my afternoon broadcast. We will be getting back to our Psalms 119 study next week.

Looking forward to worshipping God tomorrow in His House at Calvary Baptist Church, here in Burkburnett, Tx. Church starts at 10 a.m. with Sunday School for all ages. The Adult class will be back in Revelation chapter 6. Morning Worship services will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Davison continuing his series on God's Grace. He will be preaching the message: "Finding God's Grace in your Life" (Genesis 6:8). In the Afternoon services at 2 p.m., he will continue this series with the message: "God's Great Grace" (Acts 4:23-33). Make plans to join us in person or by FB Live for the morning service. Everyone is welcome and looking forward to worshipping our Great God and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Thanks for all of the responses to our preaching and teaching ministries. It has been a great encouragement to us that God is reaching out into parts of Africa and other places with the Gospel message. I myself was saved at the age of 10 at Mongo Won Kinda, Congo, in 1972. My parents were missionaries there, working with Dr. Roy Dearmore and his brother James, along with their families, and other missionaries. I praise the Lord for calling men to go out with the Gospel message. May our Lord Jesus continue to bless your ministries as you remain faithful to Him.

Our church enjoyed two great services last Sunday, in my absence, with Bro. Steve Sharp preaching. Our people said that he and his wife were a tremendous blessing to them. We thank the church for the opportunity for Alice and I to be able to be gone a couple of days to enjoy the graduation celebration of my niece Sydney from high school and to have a small part in the services at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Ft. Worth.

We will be back on our regular schedule tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. for Sunday School for all ages. The Adult class will be in studying in Revelation chapter 5 about "The Book Sealed With Seven Seals."
In our 11:00 a.m. service, we will begin a series of messages about the Grace of God. Tomorrow morning's message will be entitled "The Believer's Position in Grace" (Titus 2:11-14). In our afternoon service at 2:00 p.m., our message will continue this theme of grace as well. Our message is entitled "In the Grip of Grace" (II Corinthians 1:12; Ephesians 1:1-14).

We are looking forward to having a special guest speaker this Sunday, May 26th, here at our church. Bro. Steve Sharp from Victory Baptist Church in Wichita Falls will be our speaker in both services. Bro. Sharp and his wife have been longtime friends of my wife and myself. Make plans to come and receive,a blessing by being in Church with us this weekend.
