We have music! My son bought me a whole system for the store for my birthday!!

Fair warning! As talented as my kids are with signing, I am not. That won’t stop me from singing though! So you may or may not hear some bad singing the next time you are in here shopping! LOL

One of my absolute favorite customer and friend stopped in today with a birthday donut and flowers for my birthday! Love you Patty!! I wish I would have gotten a picture with you!

Please keep in mind I am creative and not tech smart!!! I have 37 voice mails on our store phone. I had no idea I had voice mail! I am still trying to figure out how to retrieve them!

I apologize to everyone! I will be returning calls tomorrow as I get through these.

We will be closed on Saturday August 10th so I can celebrate my birthday with my family!!

We are here today August 8th until 6:30 at least and tomorrow August 9th from 11-6 so if you need anything come and see me!!

Unfortunately, bald face hornets decided to build a nest in the front of the store and the exterminator is here now. Just to be safe and make sure there are no angry stragglers around we will stay closed until 12:30 to be safe.

What’s Smurfin??? Hit the mother load of Smurfs at today’s auction pick up! Also a nice box of Carnival glass and a mystery “gal” who will be ready for our Grand Opening!! Smurfin’ fantastic!!

Half of the one side is almost finished with furniture. All of the end tables are $25, the smallest two are $15 a piece and the dresser which is a solid heavy piece is $65! I could even be persuaded to part with that table. It comes in four sections with two leaves! The big Amish wedding cabinet is $1000. It was made in the late 1890’s.

Please forgive our appearance! If you have been in the store lately you know it has been messy!! The counter was completely rearranged and my back office was moved up front.

We have now been working hard to clear out the back room that was filled with auction buys, to make way for more shopping space, Dixie Belle Paint and our long awaited classroom!!!

Hoping to have this room all set up by the end of week! Here are the before pictures!
My hope is to have all the furniture in this room. That way you can pick a piece to refinish or paint using Dixie Belle Paint products.

We will have our Grand Opening in September along with our class schedule. We will also go back to our Fall hours which we are hoping will include Sundays!

As always, we are open from Wednesday through Saturday 11-6 for the summer. If you have a paint emergency we can let you in on a Monday or Tuesday if you message us in advance.

Lastly, this will be the last week for the old label paint sale. $3 for 8oz and $5 for 16 oz. You can’t beat that deal! Only for the old label, not the new labels of Dixie Belle Paint. See pictures below. Whatever doesn’t sell we will be using in the classroom for upcoming classes!

Oh my goodness!! I picked up 69 lots at auction today!! Not 69 items, 69 lots!!! When I went to pay the owner said did you buy the whole auction?! Well sir, I certainly tried!! It is going to take me weeks to get through all of this! Here are a few sneak peek photos of things that were on top.

I was stopped at a light for the first few pictures! I seatbelted that blown glass vase right in! It is huge and iridescent and just stunning!

The MCM lamps!! I’m in love. I may not be able to part with the leg lamp though.

The elephant side table with drawers is adorable! It has elephant feet! The detail is amazing. I just have touch it up with some stain and it will be as good as new. A heavy piece too.

Our hours next week will be Wednesday through Saturday 11-6. I’ve been staying open later some nights. It is 7:30 and I’m still here tonight! So I won’t kick anyone out at 6! LOL

As always if you have a paint emergency, someone can let you in on Monday or Tuesday to get your Dixie Belle Paint. Remember we are trying to clear out all of the old label paint to make way for the new labels so 8oz is $3 and 16oz is $5. Just for old label paint, not the new labels and not any other products! Now that is a bargain!!! Time to try all the colors!!

Oh and excuse my appearance. I loaded it all by myself in 95 degree weather!! Saying I was hot in an understatement!

Keep your eye out for Grand Opening dates for September!

Right now I’ve been working hard and opening up the back room for more shopping space and to finally get classes going! Classes will be announced in late August or early September.

Dixie Belle Paints have been relocated to the back room and look great in their new home. I need to make room for some of the newer items DBP is bringing out and I want to make the new space look pretty. So….. all of our paints with the old labels, see below for reference (Colonel Mustard old label Cottage Door new label)are going to be marked $3 for the 8oz and $5 for the 16 oz. OLD LABELS ONLY Chalk Mineral Paint ONLY There is nothing wrong with the old label paint, so this is a great deal!! What doesn’t sell will be used in future classes, but for now would love to get some extra space!

What did I get from the auction the past month??? So much!! Here is a sneak peek of what I will be unboxing!! Plus!! I picked up two boxes, some vintage licensed shelves and some art work this morning!

We are back!! I was busy with my kids’ musical last week and we closed for the week. We re-open tomorrow at 11 am! I have missed my customers!!

I just unboxed my newest Decoupage Queen order and oh my gosh! I want to keep every single one of these papers!! Here is just a sneak peak of what I got in. I may do a video tomorrow so you can see everything but the colors and patterns are gorgeous!!

I also have piles and I mean piles of auction items to go through with new inventory! Stay tuned for all of those updates this week!
