CONGRATULATIONS 👏 to Ava, Facility Operations Attendant and one of our April 2024 Employees of the Month!
Ava began working for Campus Recreation in the Fall of 2022 as a Facility Operations Attendant. She is a stellar employee who helps create a warm and safe space for everyone. She truly embodies the RecRespect ideals of Campus Rec. Ava is consistent and often closes the facility. You always know when she is working that every task will be fully complete, as she has a great attention to detail. Her coworkers have noted that she is dependable, supportive, and incredibly kind. Thank you, Ava, for all that you do!
CONGRATULATIONS 👏 to Anna, Fitness Programs Staff and one of our April 2024 Employees of the Month!
Anna has worked for Campus Rec since September 2022 and was part of supporting fitness programs when we opened the Campus Rec Hub. At that time, she served as a fitness attendant and group fitness instructor. Anna has had enthusiasm for Campus Rec and fitness since day one. Students are attracted to her fitness classes because of her upbeat attitude and inspiring coaching skills. In Fall 2023, Anna stepped up as the interim fitness coordinator to help support the success of the Hub. Our Hub Staff have enjoyed her positive energy and attention to detail regarding keeping the operations running smoothly. Instructors have commented positively on her impact and noted it as “one of the best places to teach in Burlington”. Her ability to juggle all this while being a full-time student is remarkable. We are grateful for Anna and all she has done for Campus Rec.
Lastly, to end our 2023-2024 intramural season, congratulations to our two volleyball champions. 🏆️🏐
And a huge thank you to everyone who came out to support their friends throughout the sessions and all of the campus rec staff who put in so much hard work to make it all happen!
Happy last day of class!

Today's team is ⚽️ Soggy Balls ⚽️
"Our team was formed during one of the very first weeks of freshman year in 2021. A couple of us lived on Wilks 3, made a group chat, and added anyone we knew who played soccer. 3 years, 5 championship wins, 4 name changes later and the team is still together. Intramural soccer is the highlight of our semesters and it's a great way for all of us to come together and play a sport we love!"
Congrats to our two Wiffleball Champions! 🥇

Kaylee has excelled as an official and is always looking for new ways to learn and get involved, which has led her to work at the front desk and in the fitness center, too. Kaylee is a dependable member of the staff who has been recognized by her peers for her supportive presence on shifts and for always being ready to take on a new challenge. One of our staff members mentioned that they love having Kaylee on their shifts “as she brings a brightness and positive energy to the workplace”. Thanks, Kaylee!
