All Saints Anglican Church of Cranberry Twp.
Grounded in the Gospel, steeped in tradition, nurtured in community. We are sinners saved by grace through the precious cross of Christ.
Join us for worship Sundays at 10:30am, in person and online.
Thank you for joining us for a beautiful Palm Sunday service! We look forward to celebrating Maundy Thursday with you this evening at 7pm.
"Maundy Thursday receives its name from the mandatum (commandment) given by our Lord: 'A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.' At the Last Supper, Jesus washed his disciples' feet and commanded them to love and serve one another as he had done. This day commemorates the Lord's example of servant ministry, the institution of the Eucharist, the agony in the Garden of Gethsemane, and the betrayal leading to the crucifixion." (BCP Liturgy for Maundy Thursday)
See our previous post for our entire Holy Week schedule.
Thanks, Kirk and Kim for the additional photos!

... Until you know that the One who is truly a King left behind His purple robes to come down to you—to cross that uncrossable chasm between a good and loving God and you, to wash you clean and to heal the sores of sin with His shed blood, to take your filthy rags for His own and dress you in HIS royal clothes—and all, not to give you the scraps off His table, but to invite you to a seat at the feast at His heavenly Father’s eternal table.

The inaugural outing of our new men’s ministry, Saints of Steel, was a success! Lots of fun was had at Lumberjaxes Axe Throwing Pittsburgh, and all fingers and toes made it safely home. This fantastic ministry was thought up by our volunteer, Gregg.
Have you heard of the Saints of Steel? Our men’s ministry is a place to learn from each other what it is to be Gospel-nourished, Christ-shaped, Godly men. We hope to build deeper relationships through fun and service, and to serve unmet needs in our All Saints community and beyond.
If that doesn’t sound compelling enough, our list of ideas includes shooting ranges, cookouts, cooking and handyman lessons, improving our church building, and helping widows, widowers and single parents in our community.
Come be a part of the SOS! Email the church office to join the next event.
Do you have a ministry or outing idea that you’d like to coordinate? Let Len know!

It is Christ and Him crucified who resolves that otherwise unbearable paradox of God, by incarnating that good reality of God's love for us, all so that God Himself might be able to bear for us that equally good reality of His holy hatred and wrath against sin, which offends God but which also hurts, breaks, and destroys US.

That promise is yours, too. As we prayed in our opening collect, God and His grace always goes before us and follows after us. He surrounds us, protects us, keeps us in the race that is set before us, such that our running that race with endurance is nothing less than trusting that we are being carried by His faithfulness.

We, of course, celebrate the condescension and humbling of the Word of God in the Incarnation—God's becoming a human being in Jesus. But we don't often reflect on the condescension and humbling of the Word of God in Scripture, which is God's Word entering into our world and the marketplace of ideas.
That God allows His Word to vie with our half-baked inventions, to be questioned and debated alongside them—even to be scorned, slandered and ridiculed—is truly His grace and mercy and goodness to us. It is proof yet again that God will stop at nothing and will stoop to OUR lowest levels to bring us back within His saving reach.

It is only in your wretchedness that you can discover the compassion of God.
"God receives none but those who are forsaken, restores health to none but those who are sick, gives sight to none but the blind, and life to none but the dead. He does not give saintliness to any but sinners, nor wisdom to any but fools. In short, God has mercy on none but the wretched, and gives grace to none but those who are in disgrace."

Did you catch our YouTube livestream this past Sunday? What you can’t see on-screen is our beautiful new audio/visual booth, courtesy of one very talented member and a crew of hardworking volunteers who delivered and set it up! If you’ve been following us online, make sure to stop by and see their impressive work.
Speaking of volunteers, we would love to train a team of AV volunteers over the next few weeks so that we eventually have enough for a 2-4 week rotation. Spots are still open. This works great for a 2-person team, or an individual who likes multi-tasking—come give it a try!
