It's so easy to get overwhelmed, isn't it? Between home and family and work and church and the list goes on and on, after awhile we don't know which end is up. So, when you get overwhelmed, ask God to overwhelm you with His presence, and watch all the stuff of earth fade away. He'll show you what to do, and will give you time to complete what is important. Trust Him.
It was the BEST event to end 2023!!! Thank you to everyone who donated and served. What a beautiful evening we had ❤️
Morning Blessing: May the Holy Spirit infuse you today with energy and strength! May He empower you to walk courageously through your trials. May He endear you to those in authority over you. And may He impress upon your heart those He's given you to love. May you walk so intimately with Jesus that you become a source of great wisdom and perspective for others. May the healing you’ve received from Him flow through you to those who now struggle the way you once struggled. May they greatly benefit from the battles you’ve faced and the victories you’ve won. May God’s promises come alive to you in a way that fuels your steps and energizes your faith. You're His ambassador, anointed for His purposes, and empowered by His strength. All of heaven is on your side. Let that amazing truth put a spring in your step today! Have a great day!
Colossians 1:29 (NIV) ~ To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.
I don’t know what you’re walking through today, but I can promise you this—God is going to use it.
As I look back over my life I can’t help but see—the things that tried to break me are the very things that God has used. The heartaches, the disappointments, the things that just didn’t make any bit of sense and seemed the least bit good, are in fact the things that God has used to mold me and make me and share this hope with others.
If you’re going through a season of heartbreak today I just want to encourage you—God is here. He has a plan for all of it. Your pain isn’t purposeless. Your tears aren’t for nothing.
None of your heartache is going to be wasted—it’s going to be used. It’s going to be impactful for His purposes in your own life and for the greater good of the kingdom.
Because God is simply too good to waste anything we walk through.
Evening Blessing: May the Lord awaken you to fresh and powerful revelations of His love. May He stir in you a deep desire to read His word and stand on His promises. May He lift you up so you can see your life from His perspective. And may He put a joy in your heart that makes you glad and others smile. And tonight, wrap yourself up in this wonderful truth: Absolutely nothing can separate you from His love! Sleep well.
Psalm 143:6 ESV ~ I stretch out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah

Grieving people would love your help & support this holiday season. Here are some ways you might help. And if you’d like some help educating friends and family on the best ways to support you, these tips are for you too.
Remember, there is no right or wrong way to do the holiday season. It's important to reach out and connect. It's OK to feel awkward. You don't need to be perfect, just present.
I've recently reflected on the ways my daughter and I have both fought to be brave. I'm comforted knowing we can be brave and still have fear. Everyone has fears, but we also have trust and hope, faith and gratitude.
Our bravest moments come from trusting, from falling into the plan of God. When we do, bravery becomes less about courage and more about faith. We trust God will never leave us or forsake us. We trust everything is possible for those who believe. We trust we can do all things through Christ, who gives us strength.
Gratitude reminds us of the truth. It helps us remember when fear fights for us to forget. Risk may always feel daunting, but facing fear activates our faith. We’ll find ourselves scratching our heads at brave things we can’t take credit for, grateful for the One who empowers us.

TOGETHER - 🎄 ADVENT 2023 STUDY 🎄
Join us for our Together - Advent 2023 Study called He Alone is Worthy by She Reads Truth! In this season leading up to Christmas Day, we will trace the biblical anticipation of the One who met every expectation and fulfilled every promise: Jesus, the Messiah, the Son of God.
After prayerful consideration, we are excited to announce that we have moved this Advent study from a Zoom group to a private Facebook group!
The beauty of this is that you can now do it on your own time at your own pace! You can engage as little or as much as you want with the other ladies in the group through the comments. You don’t have to hop on Zoom at a designated day and time each week!
The She Reads Truth daily devotionals will be posted and we will be asking reflective questions each day INSTEAD of meeting every week on Zoom. This will make it far easier for more women to jump in throughout the week and participate when it is convenient for them.
The Christmas season is always so busy, so our prayer is that we will be purposeful and intentional about keeping our eyes focused on Jesus as we study His Word together during this Advent season.
Join us during this season of invitation and hope, as we prepare our hearts to celebrate the first coming of our Savior while expressing our longing and eagerness for His return.
The Facebook group is already open and active, so feel free to jump in and comment now! This is a 4 week Advent Study experience with daily readings that will begin Sunday, December 3 and run through Sunday, December 31.
PLEASE JOIN US!! 🎄 This is our 6th year of coming together during Advent, and it has been such a blessing starting each day focusing on God and not the busyness of the Christmas season!
To join, simply click on this link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/658307652811413
You will be prompted to answer a series of questions and then will be approved to join.
Morning Blessing: If the devil can get you to doubt God's provision, you'll grab for yourself and miss the wonder of God's goodness. If the devil can get you to question your worth, you'll strive to prove yourself and miss the gift of God's assurance and rest. If the devil can get you to doubt God's timing, you'll rush ahead and miss the wisdom of His ways. We grow deep and wise when we trust God fully wholly. And yet, and yet, if we miss Him and we mess up, we can know that a plan is already in motion to redeem our story. We won't get it right all of the time. But praise God; Jesus will never get it wrong on our behalf. We can trust Him. Exhale your stress today, knowing that God is on your side. He guards, and He guides. He'll always provide. He sees you, He loves you. You can trust Him.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (AMP) ~ Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].
It's that time of the year! 🍂 🍁 🍂
Don't forget to turn your clocks back tonight, and don't forget to check and change your batteries and carbon monoxide detectors!
Enjoy your extra hour of sleep! 😴

How has this wrung true for you?
I’m convinced that in the kingdom of God, our brokenness is one of the ways God can move though us best.
Humanely speaking, it makes no sense. What could God see in weakness and failure and busted-up hearts that He could use?
Yet in the words of Paul, “…I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me,” (2 Corinthians 12:10).
You see, the greater our brokenness, the greater our dependence.
The greater our weakness, the greater His strength.
The greater our mess-ups, the greater our eyes are opened to just how desperately we need His mercy.
Friend, God’s power in our lives is evidenced by our dependency on Him. We don’t need to be afraid of our brokenness or failures. We don’t need to hide our weaknesses or hurts.
There’s no better way for us to show the world—Jesus is the one who holds us all together.
It was a wonderful morning of connection!! 🧡💚💙
IT'S MOMMY MINGLE TIME!!! 🍂 🍁 🍂

When I’m standing in the middle of uncertainties and unknowns, this is what I remind myself—God is faithful. He’s been faithful before, and He’s going to be faithful again.
2 Timothy 2:13 tells us, “But even if we are faithless, he will still be full of faith, for he never wavers in his faithfulness to us!”
Friend, if you’re going through some uncertainties or unknowns in your life today, I just want to remind you—God is going to be faithful there. He’s going to show up and show Himself right in the middle of your situation—because doing anything else would be going against the character of who He is.
Can I pray with you this morning?
Lord, help us have eyes to see your goodness and hearts that trust in your faithfulness, even when we’re in the middle of situations that feel unknown and uncertain. Help us to remember that no matter what comes our way, you are who you say you are. You are good. You are faithful. And most of all, You are present. When life keeps staying hard and things don’t make sense, help us to remember You stay the same. Give us eyes to see Your goodness and hearts that are tuned into Your presence. We believe God, in faith, that You are going to show yourself faithful right where we are.
In Jesus name, amen.
God sometimes overwhelms us with His manifest presence because we’re due for an upgrade in our perspective of who He is.
Failure and difficulty are necessary opportunities for stretching our abilities to enable growth. Growing is not about feeling comfortable; it is about moving forward through the thick grass toward foggy vistas and breaking through all of that to discover new territory. The future does not live in the past unless you stay stuck where you are. The future is where you are going, not where you have been.
- Henry Cloud

I was 10 years old when I first heard the radical message of the gospel.
My sister and I were taken to an orphanage saturated in verbal and physical abuse, after my father landed in prison and my mother walked away from us. I remember thinking, Is this how you treat children? One night, the cruelty got to the point where I decided that I hated my life.
That was when God met me. He saw my heart, and even though I did not know God at the time, He nudged me to keep looking forward because all this pain would one day be in my past.
God doesn’t always pull us out of dark circumstances, but Psalm 139:12 reminds us that “even the darkness is not dark to [Him]; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with [Him].” God saw me in that dark place. He knew about my struggles. And by His strength, He allowed me to endure the suffering and step toward a brighter day.
Later, my sister and I were transferred to another orphanage where the caregivers did not tolerate any kind of abuse. The atmosphere was completely different. And soon after we arrived, the director of our new orphanage made an astonishing decision: He allowed Operation Christmas Child to enter with shoebox gifts and share the radical gospel message.
To this day, I still remember that life-changing message. They talked about a God whom we can call our Father. They told us about Jesus, who came from heaven to earth to rescue us.
As an orphan, to me, that meant that God is the God of adoption! My dream all through my childhood was to be part of a loving family, and now God was inviting me into His royal family. It felt as if the light had finally won territory over the darkness in my life. I gave my burdens to Jesus and began to faithfully pray and seek after His heart. This seed of faith I received through my shoebox blossomed over the years into a deep-rooted faith in God. The darkness could no longer stop the light from getting in.
