CLOSING SERVICES FOR NEW HOPE AND EPIPHANY and GRAND OPENING OF OUR MERGED CONGREGATION, WATER OF LIFE LUTHERAN CHURCH - ONE CHURCH WITH TWO LOCATIONS

On June 20, we will honor the history of Epiphany and New Hope with anniversary and closing services at each church. Pastor Zarling will preach for the closing of Epiphany and Pastor Janke will preach for the closing of New Hope. Please make it a priority to thank the Lord of the Church for the history of our congregations, and more importantly, the gospel ministry that God allowed through the decades through each church.

On June 27, we will celebrate the grand opening of Water of Life – one church in two locations. Our guest preacher will be Southeastern Wisconsin District President Pastor Kolander. As part of the services, we will rededicate our sanctuaries, altars, pulpits, baptismal fonts, pianos and organ to the Lord of the Church. There will be special fellowship and refreshments before and after the services at each campus. Please invite your friends, family and neighbors to celebrate this very special occasion with us.

Water of Life co-owns a campground! There is a federation of our WELS churches that co-own Camp Oak Ride at N303 Tower Road, Eagle, WI 53119.

This coming weekend will be Camp Oakridge’s first large camping event of the season. Their Annual Memorial Day Brat Roast will begin at 5:00PM on Saturday, May 29, 2021. A church service will follow the meal (6:00PM-ish).

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the Water of Life branding. The Church Council shared your comments with Joshua Krohn and asked him to revisit the logo. After making some changes, the Executive Committee approved the final branding. We thank Joshua for his time and expertise on this project.

Please take the time to watch the video that Joshua created to explain the process of listening to the feedback and adapting the branding. Also take a look at the pdf, Joshua created of his presentation. One thing that isn’t included in the video is the Water of Life logo compared with logos of Racine churches.

Peter hurried to help a servant of servants. He was not too busy or too important. He did not feel himself “put upon.” Tabitha was a servant who helped the best she could. When she became sick and died, those who mourned were the evidence of her faithful loving service. Peter ushered everyone out of the room and raised her from the dead. You will be called upon – probably numerous times – to minister to those who are mourning the loss of fellow saint. Though Christ will not be resurrecting that saint in this lifetime, you have opportunity to minister to the mourners proclaiming the comfort that comes with the faith knowing that Christ will be raising all his saints on the Last Day.
