Today, on the one-year anniversary, we celebrate the life and teachings of Delia Steinberg Guzmán, a great philosopher and the second international president of New Acropolis.

She dedicated her life to education, believing it to be the key to human development. Through her global lectures, seminars, and publications, she shared her wisdom on philosophy, culture, and history. Her teachings, grounded in humanistic and spiritual values, inspired countless lives by demonstrating the power of living those principles every day.

Thank you, Delia, for your example and inspiration.

(ENG) New Acropolis General Symbol 07/17/2024

Carlos Adelantado, International President of New Acropolis, introduces us to New Acropolis' general symbol. The symbol is meant to embody the ideals and inspirations of NA world wide. The general symbol is an emblem that is composed of several powerful symbols that are related to one another to form a greater whole.

"Symbols are a form of non-verbal communication that allows recognition, establishment, and transmission of main Ideas." - Carlos Adelantado

Symbols help us tap into the language of life, offering a direct path to understanding. They bridge the gap between the conceptual and the figurative, guiding us towards a deeper and more complete grasp of reality.

We also extend our gratitude to our students, partners, and everyone who contributes to our mission of living by permanent values and thereby supporting both individual and collective evolution.

Congratulations, New Acropolis!

Juneteenth, a powerful reminder of the journey toward freedom and justice, emphasizes the enduring struggle for equality and the vital role of historical memory. This day invites us to reflect philosophically on the principles of truth and equity, urging us to apply these ideals practically in our fight against systemic racism. By celebrating Juneteenth, we embrace our collective responsibility to foster a society rooted in human dignity and the continuous pursuit of justice.

Volunteers for Humanity at New Acropolis Boston crafted over 60 cards for the women visiting the Cambridge Women's Center, extending hope and appreciation this Mother's Day for all who nourish others. The lovely volunteers at the center were glad to stay for this photo and show us around their beautiful "home." The ladies are always looking for donations at their 46 Pleasant St, Cambridge location if you'd like to check out their needs in the last photo!

As Rumi says, "We are born of love; Love is our mother." In this we remember and thank all mothers who gave life, Mother Earth who cares for us daily, and the spirit of motherhood that runs through all those who extend a selfless, open-heart to all human beings.

Our Story

Acropolis Boston is an educational non-profit organization working in the areas of philosophy, culture and volunteering. Our aim is to revive the concept of philosophy as a conscious way of living.

Why? Most of the problems we are facing today are man-made. They are a result of our way of life which in turn is a “product of our thinking” (Einstein), so our problems cannot be solved without a change in our thinking!

Philosophy can help us to re-examine the way we think of ourselves and our role in the world. Philosophy “in the classical tradition” is also a daily practice of action in alignment with our values and the laws of nature.

As a branch of New Acropolis International, Acropolis Boston proposes a renewal and transformation of the individual and society for a new and better world. We offer classes, events and volunteering opportunities for those that don’t just want to encounter great ideas, but be the change they want to see in the world.
