How do you tap into your inner wisdom and โ€˜show upโ€™ in class? Weโ€™ve rounded up our top 3 ways to do the work:

โ˜† Before you get in the studio or start an online workout, ask yourself why youโ€™re doing it.
Need time to yourself? Are your muscles telling you theyโ€™re craving movement? Wanting to connect with your community? The reasons are endlessโ€”and theyโ€™re all valid. Your reason is your own, and that is enough.

โ˜† Be mindful of sensations in your body.
When your mind starts to wander, try to bring awareness to parts of your body that are talking to you. Label the feelings. โ€œMy glutes are on fire.โ€ โ€œMy right hamstring is tighter than my left.โ€ โ€œMy breathing is shallowโ€”letโ€™s try a few deep breaths.โ€ This is a judgement-free zone. Donโ€™t judge your experience, but notice and label it.

โ˜† Remember, youโ€™re surrounded by a community that has also decided to show up. Keep the focus on your experience in class, but share a smile with those that have showed up with you.
Recent studies have shown that exercising in groups can benefit you more than a solitary sweat sesh. Why not maximize the camaraderie and acknowledge the shared experience? Yes, everyone takes their own journey through class, but we are all in this together.

The heat of summer calls for a Choclate Mint Milkshake ๐Ÿฅค

1 frozen banana
8-10 small fresh mint leaves
2 Tbs raw cacao powder
2 Medjool dates, pitted and roughly chopped
2 tsp. coconut oil
2 Tbs. sunflower seed butter
2 Tbs. chia seeds
1/2 cup canned coconut milk (full fat)
1 cup almond milk

1. Place all the ingredients into a high-speed blender and whirl away until smooth.
* If you don't have a powerful blender, soak the dates in water for 30 minutes prior to before making this.
