We are so excited to announce our 2nd annual Back to School Campaign! Last year we collected over 40 backpacks to help our families!!

This year we are collecting backpacks, but also collecting pants and hygiene products! This year we are excited to partner with Massillon City Schools to help provide a back to school outfit for close to 200 children! We need your help!! See below for all the details!

May is National Foster Care Month. We want to celebrate all our Foster Parents. We appreciate all you do to love and support children in the foster care system. Please enjoy a cup of coffee on us.

Today is National Foster Care Day! Want to make a difference in the lives of foster children and foster families, but you’re unable to become a licensed foster parent at this time? Ask us how you can get involved!

We have a few special requests from local foster/kinship families! We currently have multiple families looking for single and double strollers, a new foster parent in need of a convertible car seat, and a family looking for a crib. If you have any of these items that you’d like to donate, please let us know!

What a great day! This wonderful group of kids came to serve here at the foster closet this morning. Talk about an awesome homeschool field trip! Everyone worked hard and we were able to accomplish so much. Thank you all for giving of your time and effort to make a difference in the foster care community!

We asked, you answered! Just a few days ago we shared how badly new socks and underwear were needed for the closet, and already these items have shown up! This is what community looks like! THANK YOU for making a difference in the lives of local foster children and youth. We still need multiple sizes, especially for our teens, but this is just awesome! ❤️

With spring around the corner, it’s time to switch out some of our winter items to make room for warmer weather items! We are having a work day in the foster closet this coming Sunday, March 3rd, from 4-7pm. We will also sort through donations we have recently received. Hey everyone! We have received a special request from a local foster family. They have a young man joining their family and he is in need of clothing and shoes! He is very tall, and needs mens size 4x tall and mens shoes size 14.
If you have anything in these sizes you’d like to donate, or if you’d like to give a monetary donation toward the purchase what he needs, please let us know. These are needed asap. Thank you!

Today we gathered items for a family with five siblings, all in need of clothing, shoes, comfort items and more. It’s in these moments we are reminded of the generosity of our community. Thank you for supporting us so we can support others!

We are currently in need of reusable shopping bags that are in good condition. If you have any you don’t need, we would love them!

Last night we shared a desperate plea from our county, begging for help from any willing licensed family to step in and provide a safe space for two children just removed from an emergency situation. We received so many messages and are so thankful, but this was a reminder of the crisis our foster care system is currently in. Right now in Stark County there are more than 520 children in care, and only 120 foster homes. Without finding placement for those two children last night, the only other option would have been staying in the office with their case worker. Can you imagine what that would feel like for them?
If you have EVER considered becoming a foster parent, even just for respite or emergency placements, PLEASE pursue it. Please make the phone call, send the message, write the email. Begin the process so you too can step up and say YES to loving and caring for a child in one of their hardest moments.
Sure, there are risks, fears, and unknowns, but these children are worth it and they NEED YOU. If you have questions or want more information, please contact us. We would be more than happy to point you in the right direction.

UPDATE: As of now they have confirmed a safe place for the children to stay for the night. They will be contacting others in the morning for further placement. Thank you everyone!!

ATTENTION ALL LICENSED FOSTER PARENTS: A local agency has reached out asking us to spread the word. They are desperately looking for emergency placement TONIGHT for two children. Ages are 7 and 6, just for tonight so the county can figure out other arrangements. If you have room and are licensed, please contact us ASAP. Thank you!
