The Buckeye Council annually serves over 10,000 youth through 3,250 volunteers in Ashland, Carroll, C
Saturday we had our first Join Scout Night Kickoff and Popcorn University! More than 100 units attended to get resources to accelerate their sale and recruitment efforts. The next one takes place this Saturday, 7/27 at Gorman Rupp! Make sure to attend and RSVP at www.leadscouting.org/popcornkickoff

Beginning August 1, 2023 new members paid the full annual membership fee upon initial registration. It is now time for them to renew their membership! To support this new process, the Buckeye Council has created a number of resources for units and families. We are looking for volunteers to come to the Buckeye Council tomorrow, Thursday 7/18 to assist with preparing materials for the Popcorn Universities and Join Scout Night Kickoffs! This includes: stuffing envelopes, assembling & disassembling packets, moving boxes, etc.

In 30 days from now campers will return to Seven Ranges Scout Reservation for End of Summer Bash! There will be open program, merit badges (2 Eagle required!), a campfire program, and trading post sales! This will be an event you don't want to miss!

A huge shoutout to our Camp Akela staff! Each meal, a staff member someone travels to the Frank G. Hoover Dining Hall, picks up hot food, brings it back, puts it in warmers, then serves meals cafeteria style, then drives all dirty dishes back!

We are looking for additional merit badge and Nova counselors to help with a couple of counseling sessions for HomeScouting's Cyber Summer Camp on www.homescouting.org. If you are a counselor for one of the merit badges below or a Nova counselor interested in helping, simply fill out the form below. The job is simple - lead 1 or more 1-hour virtual counseling sessions with a small group of scouts in August-October. The scouts have completed all of the requirements and just need to meet with a counselor and we'll set it all up via zoom for you.

Beat the Heat this summer at Family Adventure Camp - July 12-14, 2024! This unique overnight camping experience will feature everything you know and love about outdoor camping plus demonstrations from hands on activities in fire safety put on by the Wayne County Fire & Rescue Association. All participants will receive a patch and lunch on Saturday.

Make Memories @ Camp Cub Scout Summer Camp gives you the chance to shoot BB guns, go swimming, go fishing, tie knots, and explore the wonders of nature. Campers sleep in tents and eat at the Akela pavilion. Parents will get to join in the fun of the program presented by camp staff.
Summer camp at 7R starts in just a few days and our staff is hard at work preparing camp for this summer.
Seven Ranges Scout Reservation will see more campers than 2023, 5 new shower houses, and an excellent staff. We’re excited and hope you are too!
