After years of prayer and months of preparation Urban Ark Canton is excited to announce that we are moving in and partnering with the Refuge of Hope!!! We will distribute groceries and clothing to those in need every Tuesday (11-1) and the 1st & 3rd Thursday (5-6:30pm). It's amazing to see how God works! From a conversation in aisle 11 at Giant Eagle with Duane Wykoff 8 years ago to moving in today, this has been a remarkable journey. We are so excited about this and can wait to see what the future holds for both organizations!! Thank you to everyone whoo has helped with this over the last year!!

Today we celebrate the life of Martin Luther King Jr.

We still have some Thanksgiving turkeys left. If you or someone you know needs a turkey, please come to our distribution today at 11:30. We are located at 701 Walnut Ave NE, Canton, OH 44702.

What a great way to spend the day!! We social distanced and handed out 120 turkeys, 12 chickens, 600 pounds of potatoes, and all the fixn’s for people to have a Thanksgiving dinner!!! ⁠

The board of directors at Urban Ark met remotely today to talk through how we can better serve the people of Canton.

During this time of uncertainty, Urban Ark continues to serve groceries and sacked lunches. If you or anyone you know is in need, please join us on Tuesday's from 11:30-1, Thursday evening from 6:30-7:30 for groceries at 701 N. Walnut, Canton, OH 44702 and Sunday evening from 5-6 at 909 Tuscarawas St E, Canton, OH 44707

Urban Ark has seen a drastic increase of people in need and is now serving groceries to approximately 600 families. Please keep us in your prayers that we would remain healthy, and we would continue to have the ability to help the people of Canton, Ohio.

If you or someone you know is suffering from food insecurity during this difficult time, Urban Ark is continuing to distribute groceries. Every Tuesday at 11:30am and the 1st and 3rd Thursday at 6:30pm.

Urban Ark will remain open, serving people suffering from food insecurity. We are taking precautionary measures to ensure the health and wellness of our volunteers and the people we serve. Groceries are distributed on Tuesday from 11:45-2pm and Thursday from 6:30-8pm.

This Sunday at 5pm, Urban Ark will be providing meals "to go" that will be handed out at the side door of the church for those in need at 909 Tuscarawas St. E, Canton, OH 44707. On Tuesday, beginning at noon (12pm), we will hand out groceries to those in need at 701 Walnut St. NE, Canton, OH 44702 (Old Martin Luther Church). We will also distribute groceries on Thursday evening at 6:30pm at 701 Walnut St. NE, Canton, OH 44702.

Groceries, meat products, fruits, vegetables, toiletries, and clothing is ready to hand out! We are thankful for all of our volunteers who make Urban Ark a success!!

Gearing up for our Thanksgiving turkey giveaway!! Giving away 120 turkeys and all the fixins to local families!

Urban Ark's annual Thanksgiving meal giveaway will be Thursday, November 21, at 6:30 pm. We will be giving out over 100 turkeys, chickens for those who don't want a turkey, potatoes, stuffing, and other fixn’s for people to cook a Thanksgiving meal. Please share and let anyone know who needs help this upcoming holiday season to head down to visit us. We are located at 629 Walnut Ave NE, Canton, OH 44702. Please arrive as early as possible as supplies are limited and are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

A pretty amazing day of service at Urban Ark! Don't worry about what you will receive in return. Instead, focus on giving generously, being compassionate, and showing love to those in need.

We are so blessed that Little Givers Club chose us as one of the recipients for these supplies!! They will serve so many people in need! Thank you so much!!!

In Ohio, approximately 528,960 children are struggling with hunger. That's 1 in 5 children struggling to eat, right here.

In addition to sharing His word and His love, Urban Ark is also able to share other necessities such as food and clothing. According to the Akron/Canton Food Bank, Urban Ark distributed enough groceries last year to produce over 98,000 meals!! Thank-you for your loving support and prayers!!!

The greatest measure of of our character is how we treat someone we can gain nothing from.

Serve God by serving people.

Luke 10:27 He answered, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and, Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Today's a good day to serve.

It makes for an unbelievable day when you figure out that you’ve shared 75 tons of food with families in need!!
