The ordering window for this Thursday’s pick-up will be open until tomorrow (Tuesday) at 10:00am.
A few things to note:
🥖 There will be NO PICKUP next week due to Fall Break! If you want goodies for next week make sure you grab them this Thursday (bread freezes really nicely). The next pickup date will be September 24th.
🥖 This is your last week to get the Jalepeno Cheddar loaf for a while. This will be rotating off to make room for allll the Fall flavors.

Fall, is that you?!? September (and hopefully Fall) is almost here so that means a new pickup schedule!
September is a bit different due to some breaks and events so be sure to plan your orders accordingly (sourdough freezes beautifully if you need to stock up one week).
For my neighbors on The Farm, I’ll be setting up a table at our Fall Festival and would love for you to come by! I’ll be taking preorders to pick up at the event and will also have some extras for sale as well. Can’t wait to see you there!
Friendly reminder: ordering for this Thursday’s bread pickup will close at midnight tonight! Don’t forget to get those orders in if you want bread or cookies for Labor Day weekend! Quantities are limited 🙂

New on the menu for this week is a Sourdough Sandwich Loaf which is perfect for those school lunches and Browned Butter Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies! These cookies are sooo good…the browned butter really adds a wonderful depth of flavor. 🍪

Having a healthy, active starter is essential to making good sourdough. But how do you know when your starter is ready to use?
🥖 Your starter has at least doubled since feeding it. Ideally you want to mix your dough when your starter has hit its peak and before it starts to fall.
⭐️ Tip: use a dry erase marker or rubber band to mark the level of your starter on your container when you feed it. This makes it really easy to figure out when it’s doubled!
🥖 Your starter has lots of bubbles. Sometimes it’ll even look “alive” as the gas bubbles are forming.
🥖 If you’re making your own starter from scratch don’t expect it to be ready to bake with within a few days. It takes TIME so be patient.
There’s not a set time it’ll take for your starter to become active once you’ve fed it. It all depends on your feeding ratio, temperature and how established your starter is.
The more you feed and use your starter, the more familiar you’ll get with how long it takes for your starter to reach its peak!

Due to different summer schedules and family travel plans, I’m offering a slightly modified pick-up schedule and a simplified menu for the summer months.
My ordering website will stay up to date with the current available pick-up dates as well as menu items so that will be the best place to check before ordering.

Easter Menu is LIVE! 🐣
Grab a few made from scratch sourdough goodies to add to your Easter table. Any of these would also make an excellent hostess gift if you’re spending your holiday with family or friends!
The details:
• Pick-ups for Easter orders will take place on Thursday, March 28th and Saturday, March 30th from 2:00-6:00. Pickup location is in Canton near Avery Elementary (about 25 minutes from both downtown Roswell and downtown Woodstock).
• Orders for Thursday pickup must be placed by Monday, March 25th. Orders for Saturday pickup must be placed by Wednesday, March 27th.
• I’ll be taking off the week of April 1st-5th for my kids’ Spring Break so if you want bread for that week make sure to stock up through the Easter pickup (sourdough freezes great!).

Hi there! 👋 I’m Meredith, the person behind Little Locke Bakehouse, a sourdough microbakery located in Canton, GA.
I thought I’d introduce myself so you can get to know your local sourdough dealer a little better 😄
After attending the wonderful Auburn University (War Eagle!), I moved to Atlanta and started my career in the healthcare & commercial interior design space. After I had my daughter, I decided that I wanted to stay home and be with her full time. A few years and another kid later, I discovered the art of ourdough…and fell in love.
I’ve always enjoyed baking but there was something about making such a delicious loaf of bread from only 3 simple ingredients that was so satisfying and rewarding.
So here we are! Now making a business out of something I love…the best right?? Thanks for being here and a super big thank you to all of you who’ve supported Little Locke Bakehouse! ❤️
