Complete the online Georgia Student Finance Application (GSFAPP)
The GSFAPP is how they can apply for HOPE Scholarship or Grant, Zell Miller Scholarship or Grant, and (if attending an eligible private college) the Tuition Equalization Grant.
The GSFAPP can be completed in 3-5 minutes and is good for 10 years.
Check their current HOPE/Zell Miller Scholarship GPA Calculation in their GAfutures Dashboard through the My High School HOPE GPA tab.
Complete 2024-25 FAFSA – Check out the information in GAfutures to get started
*Students must have a GAfutures Student account to be able to access the application and their High School HOPE GPA. Their profile must include their correct name, high school name, address, date of birth, and social security number.

Compass Prep Academy is a unique, NON-TRADITIONAL learning community which offers a wide variety of options for ALL TYPES OF STUDENTS. We challenge the high achieving students and encourage the "deflated" ones to find their direction and help them prepare for the journey; thus our name "Compass Prep". This is not an assembly-line, one-size-fits-all program, but one which is organic and works with each student as an individual with their own needs, dreams,and goals.
We are FLEXIBLE, FOCUSED, FAMILY-CENTERED, FUTURE-ORIENTED AND FUN!
Our FLEX5 System allows students to choose between a number of options for attendance, depending on the needs. Our Juniors and Seniors are highly encouraged to dual enroll at a local college and many of them only come to Compass once a week for a class or two. Other students attend our FullFive, which includes the core program of academic and enrichment classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays,and Thursdays, adding on a beneficial Mindset Monday and Friday Focus. On Mindset Monday, students can get help with homework for the week, work on time management, Maker-Space activities, get creative with art projects, technology time and lightly directed free time for exploration. Friday Focus takes students out of the classroom and into the community for wonderful field trip experiences all over the metro Atlanta area (Museums, ZooAtlanta, Georgia State Capitol, Shakespeare Tavern, MLK, Jr. Center, Centers for Disease Control, Atlanta History Center, and so much more!) We allow every student to FOCUS heavily on whatever it is that they LOVE, we value the needs of individual FAMILIES and allow for travel opportunities outside of our regular school breaks. Every student’s academic plan is aimed towards their Future, whether they plan to attend a traditional college or university, pursue technical training, start a business, join the military or any number of worthy options. Because students feel at home and are celebrated for who they are as individuals, the environment at Compass Prep is welcoming, encouraging and FUN!
