Every time I think I made my favorite cake, I make another one I like more.

I made the teapot, cup and saucer, the lace and bow, and all of the flowers! It is so elegant and dainty. I love it so much. 🥰

A beautiful wedding cake for a beautiful couple. 🫶🏼

This bride requested a simple but grande cake. No flowers, no decorations, just the simple sleek beauty of the icing. And I kinda dig it.

This is the biggest, tallest, cake I’ve done yet.

7 tiers. The bottom is 18” in diameter and the top is 6”. Each tier is 6” in height bringing it to 3.5 feet tall! It was a challenge to frost due to its massive size and it wasn’t going to have any decor on it. Every flaw will show because it’s “naked”. It easily took me 15-20 hours to complete this cake… and it’s not even real cake.

I absolutely love what I do and am so thankful to be part of others’ most special days. 💞

I am so blessed. Even on the weeks that try to kill me, I am thankful that I am able to make a career of doing what I love.

My body and hands are so sore, swollen, and cuts all over. I slept the whole entire day yesterday and all night last night, but it was absolutely 10000000% worth it!

I didn’t even take pictures of half of them, but luckily I have some sweet clientsts to pick up my slack 😜

Yall, 2024 is trying to off me already. 🤣 We ended 2023 with Satan’s flu. Then I started this year with a ruptured ovarian cyst.

🎅🏽 In other news, I’m going to go ahead and get Christmas cookies on my site for preorder. (Link below) I’ll make another post and get more details out there this week.🎅🏽

And in other, other news: I hate having to address this, but I do have to at times. This goes for lots and lots of other small businesses owners as well, but I’m going to speak for myself.

I am a one woman show. I do the scheduling, quotes, baking, shopping, decorating, communications, marketing , book keeping, etc SOLO. Of course, I have occasional help, but for the most part, it’s just me.

I sleep maybe 3-4 hours most nights. Friday/ Saturday night, I was up until 6:30 in the morning working, slept for 2 hours, got back up and finished orders. I don’t get sick days. I had a migraine from hell for two days this week, but couldn’t stop or things wouldn’t get done. I cancelled my Saturday plans because I was too tired to go.

Plus, I am a mom, a wife, and I have other responsibilities as a human.

That being said, believe me, I am not ignoring you on purpose! I am buuuuuuusy. Not to mention, I am not obligated to respond 100% of the time to 100% of the things that come to my phone.

If I was a brick and mortar business, would I be expected to answer texts and emails on weekends and after hours? Would you continue calling a business that was closed? Is the owner of that business allowed to have time “off”?

It’s perfectly fine to send me things, but please do not expect me to be accessible 100000% of the time. It’s hard enough to shut work off on my own. The pressure to be “on” all the time is hard, yall. Believe me, cakes are our primary source of income while we get J3 up and running. I am not ignoring anyone on purpose.

I do my best. I work hard. I sacrifice so much for this passion of mine. Please be patient with communication. At times, I do have to prioritize what I can get to. If your order isn’t for another month, I’m likely not going to prioritize that response when I have 10 orders due the next day. I try y’all. 🫶🏼
