In response to the tragedy at Apalachee High School yesterday, the Holly Springs PD is increasing patrols around the schools in our city. Our deepest sympathies go out to the families who lost loved ones.

The award winning HSES Science Olympiad team is accepting applications from current HSES students in grades 3-5.

So excited to shoutout Mila L! She won the Intermediate WORLD Solo Champion for her age group and she won the biggest title at nationals: Little Intermediate Pageant Winner of AMERICA! HUGE win in the twirling world!!! Her mom shared that she had to qualify to even compete here and then win against the other qualifiers around the U.S.

Get Ready for Back to School with CCSD’s New ParentVUE … the parent portal for our new student information system, where you can update emergency contact info, track absences and more!

Be on the Lookout for ParentVUE Message: All CCSD parents will receive an automated email July 1 from ParentVUE, CCSD’s new student information system.

Activate your CCSD ParentVUE Account: Please follow the steps outlined in the email to activate your account so you can access this new online system.

Complete the Back-to-School Update Forms: Beginning July 10, the “first-day forms” process to update emergency contacts and other info will be in ParentVUE.

Access student’s schedule/homeroom: Once you complete the above steps, schedule info will appear in your CCSD ParentVUE beginning July 19.

Register new students online: If you’re a current CCSD parent who needs to register a new student, you will need to first activate your ParentVUE account.

Each parent will have his or her own individual account. Parents with multiple children in CCSD schools each will have one ParentVUE account for all their children. Each parent will receive one activation code to set up his or her individual account.

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Month, we’re celebrating a school 2024 Teacher of the Year each day! Physical education teacher Amanda Anderson, a 17-year educator, is the Teacher of the Year for Holly Springs Elementary School STEM Academy!

“I have witnessed Coach Anderson’s daily routine of teaching physical education and the way she cares about the growth potential of all kids,” a colleague shared. “Her structured fitness activities and team-based activity approach to physical education creates an atmosphere of expectation, growth mindset and student/coach feedback. Students in her physical education class are given the opportunity to learn about a healthy lifestyle and how to implement what is being taught. This gives each student the chance to become more fit, excel at sports and, more importantly, learn valuable life lessons.”

Congratulations to the HSES Science Olympiad team who competed at the state level championships a.k.a. the Georgia Elementary Science Olympiad competition at KSU. I'm extremely proud to announce our winnings for the day:

State Champions - 1st Place in Data Crunchers: Parker and Conrad
State Champions - 1st Place in Simple Machines: Adelyn and Caleb
8th Place in Starry Starry Night: Logan and Parker

The GAESO is the largest (and longest running) Science Olympiad competition in the entire country. Today we competed against 64 other schools and finished strong. Way to go Wildcats!
