Congratulations to our Beach Day winners! 🏆🎉 These Cubs rocked the day and cashed in BIG for a day of fun in the sun (well, in the Cafe 🌊☀️)!

🌴🍧 With tropical vibes, beachy tunes, and delicious treats, these students soaked up some well-deserved relaxation!

🔍✨ Shoutout to our incredible Cub Café Child Nutrition Manager, Mrs. Grogan, for helping us solve the *Mystery of the Cafeteria Crook* in our 3rd Grade AIM class today! 🍎🥪 Our students had a blast working with her to uncover clues and crack the case, all while learning about teamwork and problem-solving. 🦉🔍 Rite of Passage: Owl Pellet Dissection! 🔍🦉

Our 4th graders are getting hands-on with science by diving into the fascinating world of owl pellet dissection—a true rite of passage! Through this activity, students are learning how organisms interact in ecosystems and gaining an understanding of predator-prey relationships.

This fun and educational experience ties directly into Georgia Science Standard S4L1, which focuses on understanding the roles of organisms and their environment. 🌱🌍 Students are identifying skeletal remains within the pellets, connecting them to the broader ecosystem and food chains.

What better way to bring science to life than through discovery and exploration? 🧬🔬

🌟 Behind the Wheel Wednesday: Meet Wendy Shaw! 🌟

Say hello to Wendy, our amazing driver of bus #298! 🚍 Wendy has been driving for 15 years and absolutely loves it. She’s married to her sweet husband, Richard, and is the proud mom of 3 grown sons and grandmother to 6 precious grandchildren who bring her so much joy! 💙🐾

When she’s not behind the wheel, you’ll find Wendy teaching aerobics at the Canton YMCA, hiking with her 3 dogs, or enjoying family time camping and soaking up the sun at the beach. And let’s not forget her favorite treat—anything chocolate! 🍫

Thank you, Wendy, for all you do to keep our Cubs safe and rolling! 🐻💙

🐻We were curious……………How do YOU at Avery Elementary! Meet Marleigh O’Weger, an inspiring Avery Cub alumna who continues to shine brightly in our community. After graduating with her Bachelor’s degree, Marleigh returned to Avery as a teacher, and today, she embarks on a new journey—starting her Master’s degree! 🌟📚 We couldn’t be prouder of her dedication and commitment to lifelong learning.
