We are fast approaching the end of our guards season!! Friday is our last day for the year. The awards ceremony and raffle is at 6pm at Jade Street Park. All guards (am/pm) have a short schedule Friday! Details below….

We are accepting scholarship applications now! Due date is
Wednesday July 31st at 5pm!

Our College Scholarship Program helps Junior Guard alumni pay for college or other education programs after they are finished with high school. Each year we award college tuition scholarships to a select number of outstanding applicants. Candidates go through a rigorous qualification, application and recommendation process including participation in and demonstration of exemplary competence in the Capitola Jr. Lifeguard program, school academics, sports and involvement in community organizations accompanied with detail essays, substantiating references and attitude all taken into consideration.

To date the Capitola Junior Guard Parents club has raised and awarded over $400,000!

This is such a special and exciting time as we give back to our incredible community of students and instructors.

Little Guard Events will begin at 10:00 AM on the 17th,

Little Guards should arrive at 8:45 - 9:00 AM

Junior Guard competition will begin at 9:00 on the 18th

Junior Guards should arrive at 8:15 - 8:30

Little guards will have regular schedule Thursday and Junior Guards will have regular schedule Wednesday.

Both Days we will be setting up camp in front of Neptune’s Kingdom. Please show up on time and do not block any roadways or emergency lanes at drop off.

Friday is our last day of session 1!! What an amazing month it’s been! We are so excited to wrap up this session with the check out swim and awards ceremony. We are still looking for donations for our raffle as well as any monetary donations to our Team Tola Parents Club. All of our funds support our community. As we approach our 45th anniversary we are so appreciative of everyone who continues to support our efforts. We love our 🫶❤️💙

Checkout Swim 7/5/2024: Guards will be taking place from 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm. The morning checkout swim will take place at 9:45 with all Little Guard age groups. The afternoon checkout swim will take place at 1:30pm for the 6 year olds 1:45pm for the 7 year olds and 2:00pm for the 8 year olds. Program will resume post swim.

Awards Ceremony 7/5/2024: Will take place at Jade St Park- 5:30pm. Bring snacks, lawn chairs and we will have an hour long awards ceremony with a raffle.

Family Wharf Swim

All Junior Lifeguards and their families are welcome to swim or paddle around the Capitola wharf while our awesome JG Instructors guide and cheer you along.
This is great opportunity to get the whole family involved! Professional Photographer Nikki Brooks will capture your moment!

Thursday, June 6, 2024 / 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Capitola Rec Center + Patio

Come support, promote, and foster the 2024 Capitola Junior Lifeguard Program by kicking off the season for all new and returning Junior Lifeguards and Parents. The Team Tola Parents Club will be hosting a Welcome Reception to provide parents and JG’s additional information about this year’s program, upcoming summer events, plus meet some of your instructors to get familiar before the sessions begin. Team Tola merchandise will also be available for purchase, so come join us and gear up, grab a taco on us and meet your fellow guards. Parents, this is a great opportunity to get involved, meet other parents in the program and volunteer for various projects/events. Hope to see you all there!
