The first modern Olympics were held in Athens, Greece, in 1896. Every 4 years they are a time when athletes from all over the world come together to compete. They've been working hard for years to get to this point, just like language learners work hard to become fluent.

The Olympic motto is "Citius, Altius, Fortius," which is Latin for "Faster, Higher, Stronger."

When you start learning a new language, it's kind of like training for a sport.
1. Practice Every Day: Just like athletes train regularly; practice your language skills daily.
2. Contact ILC to be your coach: Athletes have coaches to guide them; you will improve faster with a good teacher.
3. Set Clear Goals: Decide what you want to achieve, like being able to hold a conversation or make new friends from a different culture.
4. Stay Motivated: Keep your eye on the prize, whether that's traveling to a country where the language is spoken or acing a language test.

Happy International Hummus Day! Did you send a card? Hummus, a classic dip from the Middle East, has its roots in Arab cuisine. The name itself is derived from the Aramaic word for chickpea, which is the main ingredient. The true birthplace of hummus remains a topic of discussion among several nations, such as Egypt, Greece, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, and Turkey.
