Multicultural School of Indiana (formerly Heritage and Indianapolis Russian School) was founded in 1993 by a group of Russian-speaking immigrants - mostly parents themselves. Today, Heritage School of Indiana marched along Indiana Supports Ukraine (ISU) at the Carmel 4th of July parade! Public support was overwhelming: majority of people got up from their seats to say Glory to Ukraine, they applaud, some cried. ISU collaborates with IT organization SWAN run by Alex Morozov to collect funds and provide medical and military aid to Ukrainian soldiers. The School collaborates with Oksana Brodovsky Ksenya Ksenya from Ukrainian organization CLAW to collect funds and clothes to support civilian-refugees. Most popular subjects are Russian language (19), art (11), chess (10), math, theater, early development and music (9 answers each). Majority is willing to volunteer 3 hours or pay for someone to volunteer. 2 people would like to take a more active role in school operations. Since March 2020, the school has been working online. During these years many new students from other states have joined our online classes. Lately, we have started receiving questions about whether or not the school will offer any face-to-face classes in the upcoming academic year. Heritage School of Indiana, a not-for-profit organization Indiana Supports Ukraine, and a SWAN software solutions (swansoftwaresolutions.com) are supporting and responding to the need for any clothes, backpacks, hygiene items, dental care items, and medical supplies. These groups also are helping with some spending money, because many people fled with nothing but clothes on their back.
