☃️The winter weather is about to hit Indy hard next week (high of 3° ?!). Don’t waste your money by not being prepared!
✔️close crawl space vents
✔️check for good door/window seals
✔️keep vacant properties at a normal temp
✔️drip faucets
✔️open cabinet doors under sinks
✔️disconnect hoses outside, cover faucet if it’s not freeze-proof, blow out sprinkler systems
✔️seal old,drafty wood windows
✔️buy a spare space heater before the rush at Lowe’s
Pic: last year we had to change a few shower mix valves because the cold weather came in through the crawl space vents, froze some pipes, and exploded the valves. Lots of water, expensive repairs… all preventable!
Thowback to the time we walked a Historuc church in Anderson for some investors that wanted to convert it to an apartment complex.
Spoiler alert: the investment was too capital-intensive to be viable...
