Tore this shower out yesterday in Folsom. Done 8 years ago but she said it leaked in two years. It might have taken that long to notice. It’s a hardibacker shower with a hot mop. Wirh spot bonding. This is how you get mold in your shower walls with all the gaps open behind the tile. Lucky she didn’t use it that long. This company obviously doesn’t know how to tile a shower properly. Hardy backer does not belong on shower walls. It’s a failure waiting to happen. When you compare prices of bids that you have, you should ask them how they build their showers. do not compare pricing compare how they build the showers.

Second bathroom almost finished. Grout on Monday. Tore it out, blocked studs, built dam, built seat. Hot mop, plumbing all done in house. Turning out really nice. Another high end top notch installation of a custom shower. Got a heated floor with Stratamat heat system. Going back to Folsom next for another upstairs master shower redo. Nice backsplash for some wonderful people. Really enjoyed working for them. They have a nice place. This is some installed with a copper center piece behind the stove made in Turkey. With the tile going around the window, we centered that and the layout fell where it did behind the stove. Turned out real nice. I don’t get to do many backsplash’s. Nice change of pace. So now onto the double bathroom project in Natomas.

Grout on Monday. Next week have a small floor for a past client. Then a cool backsplash with Fireclay subway tile. After that start a huge double bathroom project. Going to be exciting. Things are very busy. That’s what happens when you constantly deliver top notch high end shower remodels. My plumbers and hot mop contractors are top notch. My clients here are beyond excited for this great shower. Going to be a show once it’s grouted. Now to go home and work on some projects for two different contractors.

When you water test a shower pan, you are also testing the connection of the fl**ge and the new pipe fittings. Filling the pan up with the water puts pressure on these connections to see if they hold up or if there is a leak. It’s Friday so I will let this pan sit until Monday. No bubbles coming up is a good sign.

Next bathroom remodel underway. Some large subway and Hexagon on the floor. Should be fun! Air scrubber worked great. No dust tear out.

Another shower complete. Loafs going on in this space. Turned out great. Grouted and ready for glass. I enjoy working for the contractor who has given me some work. Easy going. Now I’m onto the next! Headed up to El Dorado Hills on Monday for a tear out. Tub to shower remodel and a bathroom floor. Large subway tile and hexagon tile. Should be fun. New addition to the arsenal. Looking to offer dustless tear outs. We use a vacuum on most of the cuts to cut out a shower but some dust still gets in the air. This will keep it down and keep the house cleaner. We will be testing it out next Monday.

More tile! This one has a lot of things going on. Will take a little extra time to do. Two insets, the seat and a mosaic waterfall on the stem wall. Small floor. In a condo! Should be fun. Soldier course installation on a new tub install. Turned out real nice. On to the next!

Custom mortar float shower. Cadillac installation. 2’x4’ tile. 3/8ths thick. Very nice tile. Octagon mosaic tiles on the mud shower pan. Hot mop waterproofing from my hot mop contractor. We even installed the toilet this time. Homeowner is going to seal it. She was great! I’ll be back to do some more work. If you are thinking about getting some work done, call us up! 916.337.9481.
