As we close out this series on the five koshas from the ancient yoga text, the Taittiriya Upanishad, we learn about the journey inwards. ⁠

Each kosha is like a layer of an onion with the deepest layer, the anandamaya kosha, on the inside. It is our work to peel back each layer or "veil"—the literal translation of "maya"—to eventually reach true transcendence, detachment, and awareness. Doing so can open the door for us to reach samadhi, or pure bliss.⁠
