Celebrating 20 Years as an Esthetician 🎉

When I went to school to become an Esthetician, I was questioning so many things about my life. I remember asking myself, “Is this all there is?” in reference to my corporate career. I knew I wanted to be of service to others and something that would require me to use my hands. As I thought about what I would do without getting paid, I thought of the indulgence of going to the spa.

There was nothing that made me feel better after a spa day. A great facial, body treatment and mani/pedi was everything to me. With this feeling, I knew the beauty business was for me.

I worked for a local spa as a HR Manager as a bridge from where I was to where I desired to go. One day, a friend sent me a post on Craig’s List advertising a local spa for sale. I met the Owner who was prepared to relocate and we immediately clicked. I negotiated the funds with my husband (at the time) and became a spa owner.

After purchasing the spa, Pampered Man Pampered Woman, I quickly discovered the demand for skin care. I enrolled in school at The International School of Cosmetology, partnered with a local skin care company, Eva’s Esthetics (now known as ) and brought on a part-time contract Esthetician, who’s an amazing Esthetician in Oakland, CA and remains a Sisterfriend.

This was just the beginning…

Options are available for each client based on a number of factors including the cause of Acne, lifestyle factors and overall expectations. At Angela Green Skin Care, we explore your options together:

The Signature Facial: For clients who desire to take a wellness approach to overall skin health. The Signature Facial will address active acne with an oil-cleansing method, enzyme treatment to increase the pH to ensure effective extractions, custom blended essential oil to address the acne condition and massage modalities to relieve the skin of unhealthy oil and waste fluids. Consistent home care products are required and can be added over time.

The Treatment Facial: A series of 6 chemical peel treatments over 12 weeks for those who desire a specific timeline for acne improvement. Chemical peel treatments may vary depending on skin type and acne condition and may require anywhere from 3 - 5 days of downtime along with the commitment of home care products to ensure the best results.
