Since it's Skin Cancer Awareness Month, let's talk about the 3 most common skin cancers: Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and Melanoma.

BCC: The most prevalent form of skin cancer. It often manifests as shiny, flesh-colored bumps or non-healing sores.

SCC: Typically presents as red, scaly patches or firm nodules, and if left untreated, it can potentially metastasize.

Melanoma: It often appears as irregularly shaped moles or dark spots, and it can spread quickly to other parts of the body if not detected and treated early.

We were honored to take part in the “We Care Vet Fair” in Rome, Georgia, yesterday. This is the country’s largest military and veteran resource fair. At the event, we provided veterans with free skin cancer screenings, provided by Dr. Jonathan Pewitt, and educational information.
