To ensure Advocates for Children is meeting the highest standards for clients, donors, community and team members, the organization is undergoing a stringent re-accreditation process with , Council on Accreditation.

The four-year accreditation ensures organizational excellence, application of best practices and a goal of continuous improvement. A salute to the Advocates team who have worked hard to prepare for this week's 3-day evaluation and make certain the regional area served receives outstanding services.

This past week we had our annual United Way allocation meeting to discuss with the committee about our organization, our mission, our vision and needs. We are grateful to be one of their partner agencies. We look forward to continued collaboration and keep up the good work serving Bartow County!

The Summer Hill Heritage Group will host their annual Juneteenth celebration on Saturday, June 22, at the Summer Hill Complex in Cartersville.

It's official! Our guys have arrived at Emory for Special Olympics. They will be earning medals for their track and field skills. Keep an eye out for updates on how our guys are doing! Thank you to everyone who said prayers for our guys. Continue to send prayers their way, and we are so excited to see how awesome they do this weekend!

As you may know, our emergency shelters provide critical support to individuals and families facing difficult times. One of the most immediate needs we have is providing nutritious meals to our shelter residents.

We are reaching out to ask for your help in ensuring that no one in our shelters goes hungry. Your support can make a tremendous difference in the lives of those who need it most. Here are a few ways you can assist:

1. Prepare and Donate Meals: Whether it's a hot meal, sandwiches, or non-perishable items, every contribution counts. Home-cooked meals are always welcomed and appreciated.
2. Sponsor a Meal: If cooking isn’t your thing, consider sponsoring a meal from a local restaurant. This not only supports our shelters but also helps local businesses.

United Way’s 2024 Ric Mason Golf ⛳️ Tournament was a held today at Barnsley Resort. Fun was had by all and the sun ☀️ shown for the entirety of the day… it was fantastic!
